Got tired of yanking my arm out of the socket trying to start the huge chainsaw. Last week my brother told me about the new Stihl with easy start. Oh, WOW! You don't yank, you just pull the cord. It has an easy way to tighten the chain, and lays flat to fill with gas and chain oil. Bought the 16" blade because it's lighter and I don't plan on cutting down trees --- just clearing up the fallen limbs.
Gave the huge 20" saw to my neighbor. Let him start it. LOL

Warning: You break into this house and you'll be met by a madass woman with a badass chainsaw.

.357, pashaw A .38 on Red Bull.:D

I had a Husquana with a 20 inch bar. That thing was more tempermental than a teenage girl. When it ran it ran great but like you said you'd pull your arm off. I bought a John Deere, it was JD green with JD decals but I don't know who actually made it. It had a compression release system, easier to pull over than a duckie on a string,,and it'd restart right after shutdown too. My brother and I cleared 20 some acres for a developer with that saw and a Stihl with a 16 inch bar and never had any problems with either starting.

Some of the older chainsaws had compression buttons which was used to make them easier to crank over. I honestly don't know how those men ever managed to use something like that all day to make a living.
