bouncing through the corners

I race a 2.5L V6 front wheel drive in the Ucar class. I am having a problem bouncing around the corners. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can keep the rear end of my car on the track? I've tried running different lines through the corners but nothing seems to help.
Thanks,
Daniel

I'm not familiar with what a Ucar is, but with a little more info, maybe I can help you out. What kind of car is it? What type of track?(surface and distance) What type of suspension?(front and rear) When the car bounces is it the front and rear or just the rear? Does it bounce going into the turn, or all the way through the turn?

The Ucar class is a stock front wheel drive class. We have to run DOT street legal tires (205 65 15). I race a 2000 Mercury Cougar. The track is a dirt 4/10 clay oval. The suspension front and rear are stock. The rear is the only one bouncing and it is usually on exit.

How old are the rear struts on the car? I would suggest a pair of aftermarket performance struts, such as KYB.

Not sure of the age, does look like they have been changed in awhile. Thanks for the info.

Well that was an easy fix.

You might also try less air pressure in those rear tires.
If your rules allow it you might try swapping in softer rear springs.
