Georgia could've had a TD on that blocked punt but they messed it up by all diving for it. What happened to no I in team? lol

I was watching the Sun Bowl yesterday I think with USC?They go to kick a field goal.It goes left in FRONT of the goal post and the ref right underneath the goal post on that side called it GOOD?They reviewed it,overturned it and then I decided no reason to watch that one anymore.

I honestly couldn't care less about bowl games. I mean there are so many damn bowl games, it's like giving trophies to the kids just for participating.

The bowl racket is the most corrupt political BS apparatus in the sporting world , Don King was a saint in comparison.

Go Gamecocks!

Okay that official that just gave Michigan the first down is the worst ref in the history of college football.

Seems like every bowl game an SEC team wins is played in the south. Maybe they should have Alabama play in Indiana during the winter, then we'll see how great they are.

I hear that from many people, but if you look at it from the view of the students, it's a great thing. I remember when there were only the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Cotton Bowl. All were played on January 1. It was a time when to make it to a bowl game, you had to be the best in your conference.

Every Saturday during the season, there are hundreds of games played and yet the fewest of them are available to the public to watch. If you went to school at Northern Illinois, I'm not even sure any of their regular season games were televised, yet they will be playing in front of a national audience in the Orange Bowl. The many bowl games of today allow people who have an attachment to a school to be able to watch the last game of the year if they make one of the many minor bowl games.

In the end, the many bowl games gives many more people the opportunity to watch their teams play other teams they wouldn't have played. And those games really don't compete with the really good, important games.

Rose Bowl: For me, the Rose Bowl just isn't the Rose Bowl unless USC plays either Ohio State or Michigan. I have absolutely no love for any of those teams, but it has just become a tradition in my life. For that matter, the Orange Bowl should have either Oklahoma or Nebraska, Sugar Bowl LSU or Old Miss and the Cotton Bowl with Texas. But I am enjoying seeing some great games in bowls that I wouldn't have been able to see back when I was a youngster. BTW, when did the Fiesta Bowl become one of the top bowl games? I guess it's just like everything else, move things towards the west coast. Still, how many games are played outside the southeast?

I suppose one could look at it that way, but I still just don't see the justification for 34 bowl games. Isn't college supposed to be about education?

Oh wow, now you've brought up a totally different subject. Is the bowl season about college or professional football?

Agree with Buckaroo... especially since the BcS has a set of predetermined rules that literally decide some conferences get bowl placement and some are rarely (if ever) even considered. More bowl games are better. I mean, if you want to talk about injustice, how about teams (in past years) only losing one or two games and not even playing in a BcS game because a four loss SEC team gets priority.

I also like that some of those games are in different geography... areas like Washington, Detroit and Nashville.

The other bowl games are good all around just because, well, the BcS favors three conferences.

Can you specify the cases were a 7-4 SEC team went to BCS games? I agree College Football isn’t fair and I like the way the NCAA picks their champions better in Basketball and Baseball. But the SEC is genuinely the best in College Football has been and will be for many more years, without the much needed playoffs or with the current crappy bowl system.

A playoff system would probably just pit the two best SEC teams against each for the National title anyway, and nobody gets their but kissed more than Notre Dame; if they played in the SEC they wouldn’t be 12-0, more like 9-3 or 10-2, and who would want to go to Detroit in early January?

I was using hyperbole. SEC, the best? Obviously, I disagree. Send an SEC team up to Michigan in January when it's cold and snowing and we'll see how they do. :)

Life is about using real oppourtunities rather unattainable wishes. Michigan played a third or fourth best SEC team today and lost at a neautral site. Keeping wishing for a game in Michigan in January, might as well fantazize about a Harem of supermodels because it isnt a real world scenario.

They just couldnt beat just an above average SEC team, no hyperlobe needed just a simple fact.

Michigan also played an SEC the first game of the season in Dallas, neutral site and inside a dome.....that didn't work out well for them either.

I like the college bowl season. I don't really care about any of the politics behind it. Football's football and I like the sport. There have been some pretty good games so far this bowl season. With ESPN broadcasting most of the games these days I get to see far more of the games rather than when they were carried on multiple networks at the same time. Now, nothing more than picture in picture is required to follow along. While many will continue to complain about the bowl games I'll continue to enjoy the extended season. :D

I'm not a college 'ball fan but that hit was unreal! Is that kid who was hit ok?

Speaking of bowl games. This play was awesome yesterday.

The best hit I have seen in ages. The runner, helmet, and ball flying in three diffetent directions. I worked yesterday and followed it on my phone. Seeing the hit last night on tv justifies the cost of dvr.

He delivered another hit later on in the game almost as hard. Dude will be a monster in the NFL in a couple years.

The play before, the refs basically screwed South Carolina and gave Michigan a first down, after the measurement clearly showed the ball was short. Note to refs: You might not want to screw the Gamecocks over when Jadeveon Clowney is on the field.

Didn't work out so well for Vincent Smith. I bet he was seeing stars all night long after that.

Where are the SEC fans at?

Are they suppose to check in with you? I still think the SEC is the best conference, you don't have to agree and I could even be wrong it isn't t.hat big of a deal

SEC fan here.....what do you want? An education in college football?

Stop sounding like a little bitch. The SEC winning the last six National Championships and possibly a seventh on Monday, three of the last four Heisman's, nine SEC teams playing in bowl games this year.....I think that shows just a little dominance.

Florida played like crap last night and they got beat. But they made it to a bowl. Same with LSU...every team has an off night and can lose any game. Just ask the last six teams that played against SEC teams in the last six championship games.

Gotta wonder if this might be Saban's last run with Bama. He's the top coach in College and they have a number of job openings in the NFL right now.

After what Satan did to Miami I don't think he'll be getting a call from the NFL anytime soon. I don't mind Alabama outside of him but I can't stand Notre Dame so if he can beat them, I may just forgive him for what he did to the Dolphins.

There's nothing sadder than a football fan whose team is in Miami:(
