Jesus. Thank God he's okay now. Just a testament to how safe these cars are even though he was injured it could have been much much worse. If he was going to wreck, turn one was the best place so help could arrive faster.Really, really good reading. Gives info about the wreck that broke his ankle.

The K&N East Series raced there last year since NASCAR owns it now. Having two races in that market might not go over well though.Road Atlanta is very fast for a road course, a lot of long downhill straightaways. I thought it would be perfect for the NASCAR audience but they would probably have to put in chicanes to prevent serious accidents.
Yeah, I'm sure SMI would get their panties in a bunch over a second track in the Atlanta market. The K&N East Series raced there last year since NASCAR owns it now. Having two races in that market might not go over well though.
Don't know about SAFER but one of the sportbike groups raised money each of the last two years to have some softer barriers put up. It's mostly concrete though.Does road atlanta have SAFER barriers?
Lotta good that does.Don't know about SAFER but one of the sportbike groups raised money each of the last two years to have some softer barriers put up. It's mostly concrete though.
NASCAR pretends to be more concerned with safety than they are. They buy the place and an outside party has to do auctions to fund putting some softer barriers up. Iowa is the only track with SAFER barriers up all the way around the track and it has no Cup date. Hokay.Lotta good that does.
