Sam Bradford announced today that he will be returning to school next year for another year to try and win another Big 12 Championship and to compete for another chance at the national title. Three of his teammates who were thought ready to bolt to the NFL also will return for another year.

Can you see the pre-season college football edition of Sports Illistrated with the cover having both Bradford and Tebow tugging on the Heisman Trophy with Colt McCoy standing in the back overlooking them? :)

Good luck boys. Should be exciting with those three coming back and USC silently sitting in the background waiting to pounce.

I think they both made good decisions. I don't know that Bradford will improve his draft position, but I really doubt that he will hurt it much. He said he always dreamed of playing QB at Oklahoma. He has a chance to continue living that dream for another year. Why shouldn't he? Besides, going to somebody like the Lions isn't something to rush into early.

As for Tebow, just about every personel guy I've heard said Tebow will not be drafted until the third or fourth round and even then he will be drafted as a running back. He is a great runner, but just not a nearly gifted enough passer to make it in the NFL. Another year as the big man on campus beats the heck out of being a backup running back and special teamer in the NFL.

It's kind of funny that lately, the big named QB's that come out of college have yet to show anything in the pros. Linert and Young were supposed to be the answers to their new teams, yet look at who is the top dogs on their teams. I think that a lot of it will depend on what team they go to and then there's the chemistry between the young man, the team and the coach.

It could be that the biggest winner this year just might be Sanchez of USC. He probably won't be the first QB to go, but then again, who's to say. One thing for sure, if Bradford, McCoy and Tebow were to all come out this year, Sanchez could have been way, way late in the draft. There's quite a bit of difference in money there.

Bradford could have missed out on a lot of money by not going this year, but the advice given to him was that he needed to bulk up more before heading to the pros. This next season will be a big one not only for him, but for those other returning QB's. As to Tebow, I know what the "experts" have been saying about Tim, but with the way the sport is turning, he just could be the beginning of a new trend once again. It will all depend on what team and the coach.
