Braun could be Roush's next star driver?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's something familiar about Jack Roush's newest prodigy, even if the iconic NASCAR team owner doesn't immediately recognize it. "I haven't seen anybody who has done exactly what he's done," says Roush of Colin Braun, an 18-year-old Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series driver who is looking to break into stock cars. Roush followed much the same path as his most recent addition to the Roush Fenway Racing driver development program. Before winning two Nextel Cup titles this decade, Roush won multiple titles in the SCCA Trans-Am and IMSA GTO/GTS sports car series in the 1980s and early 1990s. "Youngsters can go into go-karts, dirt cars and late model and learn how to race that way," Roush said. "(Sports cars) shouldn't be any different." -- USA Today
