Danica Patrick will run next Friday's NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Dover Downs in preparation for the NASCAR Nationwide Series at The Monster Mile.

I think the K&N Pro Series is about to get more attention than it has ever received before. Hopefully SPEED decides to air the race live or SDD now.

Probably a good idea she'd probably get herself killed if she just showed up at Dover in a Nationwide car.

What's the difference between a Nationwide car and a K&N car?

I dont know if it will be aired live. I do know that Speed will re-air the race on October 7th.

Wouldn't that be like throwing a rookie in the Cup race @ Homestead? I think that is their season finale. I guess Ryan Truex may want to steer clear of her or Darrell Wallace Jr. may catch his butt in the championship. :D

I believe the K & N car is more like an Arca car but then again someone else may know better than me. I know about Danica Patrick but I know nothing about the K & N Series...lol

I've heard the ARCA cars are like the cup cars before they had the COT. The East/West series cars are more similar to the nationwide cars. I don't know though. They are probably all pretty similar.

I don't know about the Pro Series cars specs, but ARCA uses both Pro Series and Nationwide Series chassis.

I think it's a good thing, she obviously needs more minor league experience before moving to Nationwide, i always thought that. I felt they should have given her a bunch of ARCA races before letting run the Busch series...

why? imo she's done as well as most rookies in the nationwide series. those that expected top 10's from her as a rookie because she's danica are just looking for an excuse to criticize her.

:beerbang::beerbang:I agree,I don't quite get wether they hate all women or just women in Nascar.

Nah, it's the hype that she gets. Nothing would be said if she wasn't a female. I don't recall this much carping when any of the men who ran the IRL came to NASCAR.

Well I wasn't here at the time. But I did say Montoya should have ran a lower series (lower than nationwide) for at least a year and Sam Hornish too. Then got to nationwide at least a year before going to cup. So I'm not one of those that think she should run the lower series for at least a year just because she's a woman. I think she should because she has no experience and no talent with these cars. The same reasons I had for Montoya and Hornish.

Don't know how long you've been a fan, but if not all that long, you should have heard the arguments when Jeff Gordon came up to the Cup cars. Many, if not most, didn't think he was ready. Also, as a side note, running good in a lower class doesn't equal running good in an upper class. Jimmie Johnson wasn't even so-so in the Busch series. There have been numerous champs from that series that couldn't do squat in a Cup car. I'm no fan of Danica's, but she has certainly done as well as the majority of rookies in any series, especially those who have no experience in the newer series cars.
