A picture's worth a thousand words

NBC Denver: Balloon was in same condition at landing as it was taking off. Search focus now taking place in park near boy's home.

Woman who was a part of Wife Swap is on Ed Schultz live, said she thinks they played a prank on their parents.

You think the brother would've ****in' said something when this went national.

Dear Andy, why don't you check your stories before you headline them as breaking news?

In Andy's defense (did I just say that?), I got the following three messages today from CNN Breaking News:

3:02 PM -- A 6-year-old climbed into a balloon-like experimental aircraft built by his parents and floated into the Colorado sky.

3:39 PM -- A balloon-like experimental aircraft thought be carrying a 6-year-old Colorado boy has landed.

3:47 PM -- KMGH: Police say no one was found inside a balloon that was thought to be carrying a 6-year-old Colorado boy.

6:12 PM -- A 6-year-old Colorado boy believed to have set adrift a helium balloon has been found alive, authorities said.

When you think about it though, it is really dangerous to leave a baloon like that unprotected with little kids around.

But these parents don't strike me as the brightest crayons in the box.

Apparently they take their kids storm-chasing with them.

The more I hear about this, the more I think this was a publicity stunt.

They're loving all the media attention, and even appeared on Larry King last night. When asked why he didn't respond when called for, the boy said "because you guys said we did this for the show."

What made you think that, the fact that they named their kid Falcon?

Pot smoking hippies need not have kids.

Pot smoking hippies shouldn't have kids? Hmmmm. Piper and Trig ring a bell? I like Cessna and Algebra II better but that's just my opinion.:D

I said on twitter and facebook that this story smelled.

Turns out, it was a hoax and the whole family was in on it. I hope the parents rot in jail for making their kids do this for media attention and costing the city, state and federal governments a lot of money in the process.

As for the kids? Someone who watched that episode of "Wife Swap" told me they were spoiled brats... if that's the case, a few years in reform school should do them some good.
