The only shame here is that it will be delayed over and over again at the taxpayers' expense before justice is actually served.

I vote for the Ron White philosophy on this one: Set the execution for 2am the day DST begins and let me pull the lever. "Well, Mr. Mohammed, looks like you have an hour left. Wait, nope, Spring Foward a**hole!"
 
Utah has 3 men on death row with appeals going forward that choose the firing squad option before the law was changed.

This SOB ought to be gut shot once and left to writh in pain till he dies,,,
 
How about the 2 poor S(L)OBs in New Mexico still on Death Row even tho the State has since repealed the death penalty. But it wasn't retroactive.

I still think public executions would be a [Archie Bunker]detergent[/Archie Bunker] to criminals. And, just to satisfy our BHLs, once the DNA project is thru on current death row criminals, the execution needs to be quicker than a decade or 2.

Or the old Chinese favorite: tie the criminal naked spread eagle fashion to the floor. Rub raw meat on the genitals, and release a pack of starving dogs into the room.
