Favre items can be donated to homeless shelter in Twin Cities
The Capital Times — 8/25/2009 11:51 am

Instead of burning up, throwing out, or running over old Brett Favre sportswear, consider donating it to the homeless.

The Wisconsin Guys, Dan Deibert and Kurt Baron at Madison 1670 WTDY, are sponsoring a "4 The Poor Jersey Drive" to collect Favre's old gear and donate it to a homeless shelter in the Twin Cities. The jerseys and other gear will be delivered before the Oct. 5 game between the Packers and the Vikings in the Twin Cities.

Donors can enter a drawing for tickets to see the Packers/Vikings game at Lambeau Field on Nov. 1.

"Out-of-Favre" items can be dropped off at Midwest Family Broadcasting, 730 Ray O Vac Drive, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., through Oct. 1. Other drop off locations include stops on the Wisconsin Guys tour.
