I am new here so if this is already being discussed somewhere let me know... ...I am a nine year vet of attending the Indy 500 and have been to all of the F1 races at Indy but this year will be my first Brickyard 400, I have attended the last 7 Daytona 500's and my father has been claim that the Brickyard won't be nearly as fun because the view of the course isn't as good as it is at Daytona (obviously) and that the Cup race at Indy is a parade... ...what are your thoughts? my seats are midway up in turn two, should I scalp them and get different ones? what are the best seats for the Cup race? Appreciate any feedback... Go Kenseth and Jeff
 
your father is right !

been there done that won't go back again, of course i like the short tracks best.
 
the brickyard isn't that great. if u don't get the right seat u can usually only see what is in front of you. the people there aren't that great as well. But u can only see what is in front of u if you are on the frontstreatch and if u are in the turn 1 u can see them come into 1 and into 2 then nothing. and the same for 3 and 4. so just hope that u are by a jumbo-tron so u can watch it on TV if u are going
 
get coming into Turn 3 seats u can see them going down the backstretch, going into 3 and 4 and halfway down the frontstretch. and there is a Jumbo Tron right next to u so u will only miss stuff in Turn 1 & 2. I have been going to indy for the past 3 years now and every one i have talked to says those are the best seats. I have some extra tickets for those sections. PM me if u want to talk about it some more.
 
It sounds alot like the 500, only seeing whats in front of you or on the boards... ...that sucks if the people that go down aren't as cool as the 500 or F1 fans, because I have always had a really good time with them... ...does anyone here go to the 500?
 
Turn 2 will get you the exit of Turn 1 and all the way down the backstretch.

I've been to Indy, enjoyed it, but don't plan on going back.

Now, if you want to go to Daytona, get seats in the Earnhardt Tower. Fantastic view of the entire track.

I am going to the 500 this year!!!
The best places to sit are in the turns so you dont have that bad of a seat, its not the turn i would pick but its not bacd. Turns 1 and 4 are the best. You will have fun but it is a parade. If you been to the 500 the 400 is pretty much the same race, just slower speeds, bigger cars, and not as much history.

I may go to the 400 this year as well but not sure yet.
 
My seats at Daytona are high up on the BackStretch, Lund section... ...I really like them alot actually... ...I really like my seats for the 500 so I think I am going to try and get similar ones for the 400.. ...PettyBenson come on down to our party in Lot 3 sometime over the weekend, we will be there from the 26th of May thru raceday, just look for the big Milwaukee flag.
