Yea its early, but this is quite possibly my favorite single sporting event of the year. This is also the race that you get people to watch if they are on the fence about NASCAR or are just trying to get them into the sport.

ESPN intro to last years race-one of the best race intros ever IMO.

T-minus 34 days.

Great promo.

Anyone here going to the race? I just got another ad for them in the mail the other day. They're still not sold out.

I might be going depending if my friend has an extra ticket or not. I went last year.

I see there are still tickets available. I may just head down for the weekend with my son.

I haven't gone the last two years for various reasons. But I've already got my tickets for this year's race. I think the double file restarts are really going to make this one whale of a race.

I'm a little skeptical of their announcements. This past Bristol spring race, while the speedway announced it was a sellout, didn't appear to be. Camping around the track was down considerably as well.

I will be there again this year doing hospitality.

But first, I have to survive Michigan. :D

The amount of campers usually doesn't reflect the attendance.

As of last week, they had a fair number of tickets left online. I checked just for kicks. They must have had a run on them.

I can tell you scalpers aren't making any money from this year's tickets. I've seen a lot for sale for face value or a little below. You never see night racing tickets for face value. Some dopes are paying above face value on ebay, but they're not looking in the right places. I'm sure tickets around the track can be had for below face value depending on where the seats are.

I've never paid face value or more for Richmond tickets. There are always good deals if you know where to look.. Of course, they'll also cut you a huge deal if you buy Nationwide tickets from them as well because they're always trying so hard to get rid of those.

It was pretty obvious @ the spring race that there were many unoccupied seats. It was also obvious, were I park, that there were less vehicles in the parking lot. From where I park, looking across the road @ the campground, there were far fewer rv's. I think those are all indications of attendance unless people are walking there.
