Going to Bristol tomorrow for the first time. Only going to the Nationwide/K&N Pro Series events on Saturday. Does anyone know how early people start getting there for decent parking? I know at like Michigan it's crazy early. Gotta figure out how early i'm gonna get going, staying in Greenville, SC for a little while, so i'll be coming from 2.5 hours or so away.

There is parking every where around the track. Getting out is a different story so pay attention to the outflow maps.

Have a great time.

I know, i mean how early should I get there? At Michigan, if you don't get there right when they open the parking gates, you have like a 2+ hour walk back to the car. I did that one time, learned to show up early. I like to go back and forth between the car a lot, to relax, have some food, etc... I walk around all day before the races, So I don't bring a ton of food/drinks with me. Also like to put any souvenirs, etc... back in the car before the race. At MIS i always got there early, and was able to park pretty near the pedestrian bridge by the parking lot.
The races are fairly early, so i'm not too concerned about how fast i'll get out.

When was the last time you went to MIS? You can drive right in at 10 AM now and be a ten minute walk to your seat.

I haven't been to Bristol for three years. The last time I was there we parked a five minute walk away from the track and we didn't get there real early.

Well, I went to MIS last year for ARCA only. Last time I went to Cup there was 3 or 4 years ago, but i got there crazy early when they opened the parking lots. 5am or something

I typically don't find parking difficult at any tracks simply because there are always so many parking options within a mile or so of the track. What really matters is how much you are willing to pay and how far you are willing to walk. I'm going to be sitting for roughly four hours once I get to the track, so I have no problem paying a small amount and walking a ways to get to the track. That is exactly what we did several years ago at Bristol. We were roughly a mile from the track..

That's gotta put a kink in your tailgating. When you get back to the vehicle after practice are you too tired to light the grill?

I've never paid for parking at a cup track.
I did get to park next to Travis Kvapil at Sonoma before though. First 2 days of the 3 day weekend I parked up high on this hill or something, security guard was waving at us not to go there but we drove on by lol. She caught on the third day and I couldn't sneak up to the special parking lot.

It was extremely close to the entrance for the main grandstands, normally would have walked such a short distance, but I didn't wanna get bitched at by security as I walked by so I took the very short shuttle ride.
