Bristol adding 8000 seats
Bristol Motor Speedway is expanding, again.
Last year Bristol added 35 suites containing another 1000 seats, this year the track was repaved and variable banking was added.
The August Saturday night Nextel Cup event is arguably the hottest ticket in NASCAR, the race has sold out over 50 times and this Saturday night will see all 165,000 seats filled.
Speedway Motorsports Corporation CEO Bruton Smith said Wednesday that the track is studying the possibility of redoing the grandstands between turns three and four to add an additional 8000 seats.
