Sorry, if you read the link it seems pretty obvious that the story if a joke. Well, it's not all that obvious to everybody I guess. Check out some of the comments some people leave at the bottom of the story.
I thought the "ProFootballMock.com" would give it away right off the bat, but I guess if you didn't notice that...The thing is, that the Browns are so horrible right now that people actually believe something like this is possible.
This part sounds a hell of a lot like something they would say too...
“At this time, the Browns franchise has chosen to part ways with Mike Pettine,” said team G.M. Michael Lombardi. “We thank Mike for everything that he’s done during his nearly full-day stay with our team, and we wish him well in all his future endeavors. Unfortunately, we just didn’t see the hour-to-hour improvement that we were looking for.”
I loved this part of the quote attributed to Pettine as well...
"...There’s a lot of great guys on this roster, or so I’ve heard, and I’m sure I’d miss them terribly if I’d had the chance to meet any of them before my termination.”

Never looked at the name of the site but after reading the article and considering it was the Browns.I could see them doing something that stupid.
