I know it was just the first preseason game and it didn't matter too much to the Green Bay Packers, but it was still pretty impressive from a Browns fan's perspective.

I expected the offense, in particular, to look really bad. They've only been in camp like two weeks and they have a new offensive system, a new defensive system and a new head coach. The lockout probably hurt them more than any other team in a league, and they weren't all that good in the first place.

That being said, the first team offense looked really good. They scored two touchdowns in their three possessions. Colt McCoy was 9 for 10 with over 100 yards and a touchdown pass. The first team defensive line had a lot more penetration than they did at pretty much any point last year and they looked pretty stout against the run for the most part.

Of course, it doesn't mean they are gonna be really good this year, but it would have meant an awful lot more if they had looked as bad as I expected them to look. Giving them confidence and a positive outlook should really help as training camp progresses.
