Bruton Smith buying Dover?

Like I said, I think Dover's going to be the track to lose a date so Bruton can get his Kentucky race. Well, Dover International Speedway's largest outside shareholder wants them to sell the speedway to SMI or ISC.

I wouldn't mind the ISC buying Dover, but I think it'll end up in the hands of Bruton Smith. Also, what happens with Memphis? Does Bruton decide to close that track, like he has all the other good Nationwide Series race tracks?

Looks like we're going to lose another race to Bruton and to the midwest region. :(

You have to examine who is saying sell and their reason for it. This is the biggest stockholder of the company. He's saying sell because he hits it big if SMI or ISC buys them out. He also makes the point by saying "Both ISC and SMI can operate the Monster Mile more profitably than Dover Motorsports will ever be able to" with the key word there being more. He is probably a shareholder that has no interest in racing based off his comments. The bottom line is he wants to sell to make a trip to his bank.

I would hate to see Dover lose a date. For me, it's one of the best tracks on the circuit for action. The only tracks I'd put ahead of Dover for action is Atlanta, Bristol, and Talladega.

I think Dover coudl do well with another tier of grandstand, bristol style.
