Bubba's gonna hurt a lot of feelings this summer I think. He's a consistent frontrunner right now, top-three on speed just about every week. He's just had A TON of bad luck.

Most pictures I saw of Phelps in the white house it looked like he swallowed a wasp. I think he was there because he had to be.
I’m not sure why Phelps was at the Whitehouse but it may have been out of respect for the office of President instead of the President.

The world came down on Bubba in Dega. Phelps was part of Bubba's defense. Phelps glad handing the guy who went after him could be seen as hypocritical...and maybe even back stabbing. This is still fresh for Bubba.

Glad handing? If you know the context of Phelps' visit, I'd appreciate that information. Right now it looks like you're jumping to conclusions with no evidence.

Again, do you know more about this meeting? It's possible to have legitimate business without sucking up. The Mexico race leaps to mind. Possible exemptions for imported parts. Maybe there at the request of NASCAR's OEMs.

Been a while but he def deserves to get some appreciation after yesterday. Great win. He beat arguably the 3 best drivers in cup straight up at Indy yesterday. What a nail biter. Happy as hell for him.

I've been waiting for Bubba to seal the deal on a win. Yesterday I was traveling and missed the race. Yeah, wouldn't you know. Happy for the guy, he's slowly getting up to his potential. Each life/racing piece that falls in place pushes him forward. Been a fan since he raced trucks and I hope to see his in Cup for years to come.

I think this win will really help Bubba. Like has been said, he beat all of the best. None of them wrecked out, had damage or any fluke that I am sure some are desperately trying to find an excuse about. Wallace and crew out performed everybody.

Not really, he's improved so much from when he first started with 23XI."Blind squirrel finally finds nut."
I think the crew chief change has helped, just needed to put complete races together. He can win just about anywhere, made leaps on road courses, etc.
I will continue to say it, if Buescher can have the run he had last year. I truly think he can as well. Denny has even talked about how Bubba does not beat himself up mentally like he did in previous years and noted his growth as a driver and person. So, I wouldn't say that kind of statement. I think he can continue to trend forward like he has because man that was an impressive win no matter what people say or try to move around.
Honestly, if it wasn't for the late race caution at Texas last year that would have been an epic battle between himself and Larson. Byron ended up snatching it late though.
