Just had an 8-point buck chasing my 5 resident does around my front "yard". He was so zoomed in on them he didn't pay any attention to the dogs or me out on the deck.

Could me and my 30-06 come by to sit and chat awhile, maybe have tea and crumpets? :)

This is getting hilarious. The does just want to feast on acorns --- "horny" just wants the does to stand still. They are still circling the house. At one point, the buck was no more than 75 feet from the back deck. He's following them down the hill --- tail in the air. hehehe

Its like that around here too, but a lot of the deer are getting hit by cars. We have so much housing contruction going on, the deer are being chased from their habitat.

That's why we left most of our land wild --- I think the does got in the habit of coming over the fence because it was easier to find food in the open space under the trees. On the other side of the fence, there is so much underbrush it would be hard to find the acorns, etc.

DC's suburbs need urban development. The suburban development and the associated sprawl is killing a lot of places. Kids my age will never get to be homeowners anyways because an economic "recovery" will involve home prices being overinflated.
