NASCAR Reinstates Grubb
NASCAR reinstated driver Kevin Grubb on Wednesday. Grubb had been suspended since failing a drug test in 2004. He is expected to make his return in Saturday night's Busch Series race in Nashville, Tenn. "He's met all of the requirements and obligations that were set out for him when he was suspended," NASCAR spokesman Jim Hunter said. "He has done everything that our expert asked him to do in his time away from the sport to regain consideration for reinstatement." Grubb was required to attend a rehabilitation program and was subjected to random drug tests in the two seasons he's been out. NASCAR will continue to randomly test him, Hunter said. Grubb, from Mechanicsville, Va., was suspended following a race at North Carolina Speedway in February, 2004. ...Daily Headlines

I'm glad to see this, and wish him the best. I have to be honest though, my feelings are the same as for the last yoyo that couldn't leave the stuff alone. You screw up again, and you better just move on out to Alberqurque N.M. because there won't be anymore chances. Hopefully he's a little smarter, and really paid attention to what happened before him.

Yep i agree. It amazes me why these guys( meaning sports stars in general) can't leave the "stuff alone in the first place. It is one thing when you are making $30,000/ year to jeopordize your career, but when the potential to make millions is on the line, it is a no brainer to me. I guess that addiction just takes over, that appeal to get high i just too strong, hope he stays clean.
