I keep losing more and more respect for Kyle Busch (busch is a good name for him as he is bush league). Jr is really "down" with everything that has happened this year and here comes a fellow driver that tries to stomp on him when he is down.

Alot of people need to put others down to keep their own ego inflated or to hide insecurities. :)

Come on, it's the makings of a good rivalry. Jaws Waltrip would've done the same thing. :lol2:

I've heard that same thing caled "getting into another driver's head", i.e. a kind of psychological warfare. Or, he could just be doing it to be a jerk, too.:)

It's amazing -- being a jerk, and he's 100% correct. The Crew Chief isn't the reason Junyer keeps missing his pit stall.

Actually DW just said the same thing and called it "getting into another driver's head" and getting an advantage.

Actually DW acted kinda surprised the other announcers acted appalled by it reminding them how all along they were saying a good rivalry was what was needed and now they're getting one.

It's only a good rivalry if both are performing. When 1 is a danger to win week in week out and the other struggles to be top 20 there isn't a rivalry.

:fixed:

It's just Kyle vs. Junyer fans. Right now, the Wild Thing's winning.

Honestly, it doesn't matter what Kyle says or does. The commentators and fans will always bash him for it.

He would've kept his mouth shut and they'd still be bashing him.

They also neglect to mention that kyle didn't chase them down to tell them, or just volunteer and spout it off.

He was directly asked for his opinion, and he gave it.

One thing I learned a long time ago, if you really don't want to know the answer, don't ask the question.

But in reality the media were all just peeing all over themselves to get there and ask the question first.
I used to think NASCAR media was different and back in the day they were, but they have evolved into the typical bottom feeder the other paparazzi has.

Very true, Bush is just immature, he shows it every week.

100% agreed. A couple short years ago it was Stewart who was pissing people off by telling it like it is when asked. Now it's Kyle. It just so happens that this time, they asked Kyle about Jr. And apparently, Jr is sacred property and can't be spoken about in a negative manner...by anyone, even if they're asked.

I think Kyle showed good restraint when he told the truth. And it was just a few years ago when Tony was speaking his mind and people hated it. Now look at him!

Jr has 40 wins in the two top levels of racing in 11 years. Kyle by comparison has 39 in 6 years. Hmmmmmm.

I think he has every right to say whatever he would like to say. I wish more drivers would do the same.

Kyle did nothing wrong. Jr. fans just can't handle the truth. Where is that Jack Nicholson sound bite when you need it.

Actually they said on the telecast yesterday that Kyle had 39 wins in NASCAR's top levels just last year and so far this year.

Fact is Jr has a better average finish than Bush League in Cup. So do Denny Hamlin, kevin Harvick, and Clint Bowyer. So far Bush league hasn't won a Nationwide or Cup Championship. Logano will soon be the #1 Gibbs driver.

I wasn't including truck wins because if you do it makes JR look bad and we all know that isn't allowed. :sarcasm:

Oh I understand so that gives Jr 40 wins for the 2 series with 7 years more track time to accumulate the totals, and Kyle only has 39? Yup IMHO that clearly shows the superior results.

The Busch championships Jr won, the only real competition he had was Matt Kenseth.
Matt was driving for a family owned team with no cup affiliation. That was when Robby Reiser and his dad owned the team before Jack Roush bought them out and hired them both.

Jr's cars were DEI with all kinds of RCR support, and he had all he could do to beat Matt for the Championships.

Fact is Bush League has no Championships, period. Y'all can post all the excuses you want but in the record book it shows "squat - 0 Championships" for the guy. And when it comes to comparing him to Jeff Gordon it must bring tears to the Bush fans. :D

You're the only one trying to compare Kyle to Jeff Gordon, Jeff's one hell of a race car driver. I can see why you would though, because your other comparisons just don't hold water.

As far as having championships go, granted he's got a Busch championship, that makes him as good as Jeff Green and several others. :eek2:

Bottom line is he don't have the wins at this time.

We're not posting excuses to why he don't have championships, he don't need them, fact is he's got the wins, he in contention almost every race he runs regardless of what it is.
Just look at your posts to see who's crying and trying to come with every excuse you can. Makes you look rather silly standing there saying .

I don't care if he's got more wins, more top ten, more top 5 in 1/2 the races, he ain't won a championship when there was no competition, so he's no good.

What ever makes you feel better.

I didn't care for Gordon when he came into cup. I thought he was the luckiest SOB alive. He'd drive thru debris and nuttin' , Sr and others would drive thru and cut a tire. Sr called him the Boy Wonder or Blunder, depending.

But before a couple of female Jeff fans track me down to beat me :D allow me to say this. He never forced the issue, he never dove under a car using 8 tires to advance his position. He was modest in his wins, respectful in his losses. He looked like a fool however when he tried to grow a moustache.:D

Shrub may have the talent to drive but is a arogant punk, IMHO of course. He has a lot to learn about life. While the money rolling in has to be nice I always thought Joe Gibbs was a great coach but the more he tolerates his antics I lose a bit more respect for him each time.

Gordon didn't have a Championship at 23 or 24 either...

You're safe from one of them. She's not home right now. LOL :D

We can now conclude Mark Martin and Jeff Burton suck because they haven't won a championship :sarcasm:

Understand, I am a fan of Jeff Gordon and have been for many years. Only recently have I come to like Jr and Harvick. I like Jr for his loyalty to "all" his people and the way he is honest with what he says and for not being an ass by criticizing his crew and others that have made him the star he is. I like Harvick nowadays for the way he has matured and become what I think is a good talent, regardless of his racing 'this" year.

I also don't like other drivers or their fans that get a big thrill of "kicking" another driver or person when they are down.

And, the only driver that appears to be in the same class with Gordon, at least potentially, is Jimmie Johnson with Tony a close second. All the others have talent but until they actually win something it is only potential, which there are many of that type.

I miss the old Kevin. You might remember Snarky Kevin was also a force to be rekon with EVERY race. Now, he's just a field filler. And no antics to entertain either. Harvick's just turned in to another one of these boring no-personality drivers who drive for 500 laps instead of race.

You just gotta try to piss people off.

Try?

I do a very good job with it TYVM! :D

Look at the stats. When was the last time Harvick won a race? Oh yeah -- the 2007 Daytona 500.

Since then? A couple Nationwide and Truck wins.

I am a Junior fan, and I appreciate Busch for what he has done. Remarkable young man. I hope he stay's arrogant. It is good for NASCAR as I have stated before. It keeps the fans intregued, and the media on it's toes. Did anyone see the Camera that was fixed on him after the Busch race yesterday. Watching and wanting a reaction. He is the best there is right now, like him, love him, or just turn off the race. He will be a champion very soon in some fashion. Just stay out of his way!!!

Nascar was getting pretty boring before Kyle got hot.

By the way, I love the Smokey and the Bandit quote GREAT AMERICAN RACE FAN has at the bottom of his post.
