They're starting a little early due to weather forcast.

Jamie is a commentator and Kurt Bush is reporting from the pits!!!!!!

Jamie is HOT even to an older lady!!

Im not at home, I cant watch. Can someone post the running order every once and awhile?

A sorry lot here tonight!

Caution with 11 to go, Robby, Kevin, Jr, M Wallace and Hornaday top 5.

Sorry Kat or I would have joined ya tonight but I got in after it was over.

What was Leffler thinking on the last lap. First he spins Michael and then he pinches Junior in turn three. Atleast Mike Wallace got around him for the win.

Unless they let Leffler into the race tomorrow night, the same thing will not keep Junior from winng!

First Leffler spun Mikey out while Mikey was leading the race. That broke is momentum enough that Junior was going to go by him... until Leffler ran Junior up into the wall. Leffler hit the wall himself and Mike Wallace comes from 5th place on the backstretch to win the race.

Congrats to Mike Wallace and the #4, they needed somethign good to happen.

Well, in the race I saw....Waltrip slid up in front of Leffler, not much he could do there.

Now, although he did slide up to block Jr., if it had been the other way around it would have been "hard racing by Jr." or "Jr. is using his skills to block". It's almost a guarantee that had the situation been reversed, they wouldn't be docking Jr. a second. Nascar has already shown that stars get preferential treatment (Tony). Jr. can dish out damage, but he whines when he's on the recieving end. Heck, even my cousin (who is a Jr. fan through and through) agreed on that point. Leffler would likely have won since Jr. was coming by himself with no help....but he did what Mikey and Jr. were ding when they were up front--blocking. Did he cost himself the race and put Jr. in the wall...yup...is it any different then when one of the big Cup stars do it and causes the same result ...nope.

From the article above:

"As far as what (Leffler) did going up the race track going up in front of (Earnhardt Jr.), that's a classic Dale Earnhardt Jr. move right there," Wallace said.

"I've watched Dale Jr. the last three or four years, he moves around like a snake. Leffler just tried to block the move and slow his momentum down."

So, either Earnhardt Jr. should have been penalized in almost every other restrictor-plate race he has run or won, or NASCAR blew it by singling Leffler out Friday night for preventing Earnhardt Jr. for winning the race.

Me to!!!!!

I was just gonna post that article from TR about "Classic Earnhardt" move. It is a very good article and shows exactly how this sport has changed. Blocking has been long a tradition that was perfected by the late Dale Sr. Now NASCAR has decided they are going to penalize for this action. Maybe they better replay all Jr.'s wins and strip him of the one's he won by blocking. NOT!!!!

What do NASCAR and the Government have in common?

EVERTHING!!!!! becasue they stick thier nose anywhere it don't belong.

To quote a famous driver "Can't we just go race."

DISCLAMIER: For those of you wondering, I am a HUGE TS fan and yes even I thought a Parking by NASCAR was in order this last time to get his "Feeling" in check

There ya have it, my half a cents worth. :D

I'm trying to figure out how a car that helds it's line "slid up in front" on anyone.

The car moving around was Leffler's car not Waltrips.

And as to Leffler doing the same thing Junior does all the time at restrictor plate tracks, remind me of the race where Junior was in the lead, an obviously faster car was coming for the pass, and Junior made contact with their car forcing them into the wall. I seemed to have missed watching that race.

I'm not particular fan of Junior or Waltrip. I root for the underdogs and they certainly aren't that at RP tracks. I was rooting for Leffler and happy to see Wallace win.

But it was obvious that Leffler was in over his head in the final lap. If he were trying to bump draft Mikey (and that's waht he said he was trying to do), then he's not very good at it.

As to the block, I believe the old saying is, your rights end where my nose begins. If he was able to manuver his car in a manner to block Junior momentum, then that's just good racing. However, Junior managed to get the tip of his fender beside Leffler. At that point, Leffler needed to back off. Instead he made the contact and put them both in the wall.

Okay. I've vented enough on this one.

Let's just hope the final lap tonight isn't as eventful.

All I can say it was a wild ending. And congrats to Mike Wallace he was just in the right place at the right time.

i agree completely with tonyb, well except the part about not being a jr or waltrip fan....

if it wasnt daytona, i normally wouldnt mind that mikey, or any other driver, got spun out goin for the win, you just dont spin people out at plate tracks, way too dangerous.

sure jr blocks guys in every race. im sure nearly every driver int he busch and cup series has blocked someone one time or another. but i dont ever remember jr pushing someone into the wall on a plate track.

leffler seemed to out of control those last few laps but im glad mike wallace won instead of leffler. Mike did have one of the best cars other than juniors and mikey's

Did not watch the rce but if jr had done that to 2 car, ahh no big the car just got away from him....

I can't believe Leffler has the balls to touch DE jr. Apparently he didn't get the memo...there's simply NO blocking DEI cars in plate races, unless DEI are the ones doing it.

Kyle Busch is maybe going to ruin the Busch series like Kenseth did the Nextex cup.

Not good politics my friend.
