Alright. I've been sitting here doing the math for some scenarios on the Busch series championship. I'll post the results of those and the Truck series figures later after I have time to double check 'em.
Anyway, I've got at least 2 different scenarios where the Busch series could wind up in a 4 way tie:
1) Hamilton Jr wins the race and leads the most laps, Vickers finishes 24th and leads a lap, Green finishes 15th and doesn't lead a lap, Hornaday finishes 11th and leads a lap and all four wind up with 4603 points (with Hamilton Jr winning the title on the tie-breaker which is most wins.)
Keller would have to finish 3rd or worse , 4th or worse with leading a lap (both put him at 4602).
2)Riggs wins the race and leads the most laps, Vickers finishes 21st without leading a lap, Hornaday finishes 10th and leads a lap, and Keller finishes 2nd without leading a lap or 3rd with leading a lap, and all 4 wind up with 4607 points (with Riggs being the champion. He would be tied with Vickers in wins, but has for second place finishes. He was more wins than Hornaday or Keller.)
This scenario requires Green to finish 14th or worse without leading a lap or 16th or worse while leading a lap to winf up with 4606 and 4605 points repsectively.
How would you like to finish 1 point out of the lead and get 5th place money?
