Is there anybody else out there that agrees with me?? Should these Cup drivers be taking the points from the Busch drivers? I just don't understand the point in it, these young kids are trying to find the way into the race scene and the big boys are coming in and taking not only the stardom but the points from the Busch drivers.

That's Racin'.

Anyone can run any series as long as they are liscened to do so.

It's been happening since the Grand National Division of NASCAR was split to include the upper tier...........the Winston Cup. It was the Grand National, then the top tier was the Winston Cup. Then Busch became the sponsor of the Grand National series. It's two divisions of the same series (which is NASCAR).......anyone licensed and qualified can race in any of the series (including Trucks and I would suppose Modifieds). There isn't a rule that a Bucsh guy can't race in Cup. Or even a Truck or Modified guy can't race in Cup. Why would anyone want to restrict a guy from Cup racing in Busch, Trucks or Modifieds? It's a rule.........it seems fair to me.

I sure as hell don't think Cuppers should race in the lower levels. They're taking all the glory from the Minor leaguers, and it isnt fair.

The Busch regulars wouldn't be racing for the big purses they do if there's no asses in the seats. Not to mention the valuable experience they get from racing against cup guys.

I can see where you guys are coming from if you think that the Buschwackers should stick to cup races... But what about the guys who do the opposite and are Busch regulars and race some cup races? They usually aren't a threat, but still. I agree with Patrick on the whole big purse/seat filling/experience thing. The cup regulars are giving them a taste of how cup drivers race.
Nitro, IMO, I think there are a lot more people that do watch the Busch races if their cup driver's in it just to see them race.

It's one of those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations.

Personally, I don't like Cup boys taking the spotlight, but on the other hand, it puts paying customers in the seats.
