'Non-Issues'



The Portland Trailblazers’ Bonzi Wells will not be disciplined by the National Basketball Association for allegedly taunting white players with racial epithets during numerous games, reports WOIA radio.

Wells was suspended for a day for spitting in the face of San Antonio's Danny Ferry during a game, but will not be punished for calling Ferry a "[blanking] honkie" during another game.

Other opposing players have made similar charges. Golden State's Troy Murphy said Wells called him a "cracker" once, and the Mavericks' Nick Van Exel says Wells called his team "a bunch of soft-(bleep) white boys."

NBA Vice President Stu Jackson said the charges were a “non-issue” because he had received no formal complaints.

Now what would have happened if the tables had been turned, and Wells were the one being called racially offensive names?
 
Sounds like Bonzi needs some anger management classes. Spitting in someones face should get you more than a one day suspension. Anyone useing any racial slur is just showing there ignorance. The same ignorance it takes to spit in someones face.

Don't see how this would pertain to Tony--Tony is getting help for his problem of dealing with the media.

This guy is a loser no matter what is race. Seems ok for him to do this type of thing, but heaven forbid if the white players had done the same in reverse:mad:

sgbg, all I was referring to was PUBLIC displays. Tony is ok by me any time and I tend to defend him.

This guy needs much more than anger management and a lot more than a 1 game sit down.

What's (sick)funny is his nickname "BONZI" kinda like the suicide pilots who bombed Pearl Harbor (banzai).

Just another case of the white male being discriminated against. I once had a black female coworker scream me down in front of another coworker. She called me a M-Fer seeral times in her little temper tantrum and it basically was swept under the rug. If I, or any other white male, would have done the same thing do you think they would have been fired? In a heartbeat. But, companies are too worried about being sued to act on it. So, the white male gets beaten down again. Just like with Danny Ferry.
