Buy a car, get a rifle!

I wish this guy all the best.

If I lived closer to this guy and could afford it, I would love to buy from him. I wouldn't use the voucher he is giving away for an Ak-47, but I would use it for something more practical. I had a real nice 'Glock model 21' several years ago, but sold it. I wouldn't mind replacing it.

I thought it was funny to hear the newschick try to defend her positions with no facts or even inteligent arguements. She appears to believe that noone should have an assault rifle because that's what she thinks she should think. Liberals have been trying to demonize gun owners, and guns by any means nessessary for a long time.

I could do an awful lot of damage, in a very short time, with a .45 acp handgun. It would be a lot easier to conceal it too. However, an "assault rifle" just sounds like an easier target for the anti-second amendment types.

You could do more with a sawed-off shotgun, too. Heck. Even a 'carriage gun' with rabbit-shot would do a lot of people a world of hurt if fired into a crowd...

I believe in the 2nd Amendment. I am a gun owner. I used to go hunting up north every year. I had a CC permit for many years.

There is no way anyone will ever convince me of a private citizens need for a "assault" weapon. By assault weapon I'm talking of a weapon capable of full auto or firing bursts of 3-5.

The best defense for your home is a 12 guage loaded with 00 buck.

So she was doing an impersonation of your average conservative talk-show pundit?

Well if Senator Feinstein had left things alone rather than going wacko as she sometimes does the Federal Assault Weapons Ban would probably have been extended rather than sunsetting in 2004.

The assault weapons ban was for automatic and semi-automatic weapons. A semi-automatic still requires 1 trigger pull per bullet. Not 3-5 bullets with a single trigger pull. The semi-automatic ban was for guns with certain characteristics.

Now as for change we can believe in; President Obama campaigned on making the Assault Ban permanent. But, as is prevalent among politicians he changed his mind. On April 16, 2009, President Obama stated that he will not push for the reinstatement of the Assault Weapons Ban in the United States even though he still believes that it "made sense." So put another check mark down for Obama continuing George Bush's policies.
