# Buy a lap for Dad: Michigan International Speedway and NASCAR.com are giving race fans an opportunity to make Father's Day at MIS even more special-while benefiting the Victory Junction Gang Camp-during pre-race ceremonies for the June 15 Sirius 400, the season's fifteenth NASCAR Winston Cup event. The first 43 fans to donate $750 to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, will receive a ride with a NASCAR Winston Cup Series driver in a GMC Yukon during the driver introduction lap prior to the June 15 Sirius 400. Placement of the winners with NASCAR Winston Cup Series drivers will be randomly selected. Winners will also be notified in writing of their order in the pre-race parade lap prior to race day on June 15. For more info, see my Racing Charities page.(5-24-2003)

Sounds pretty cool if you have $750 to spare. My luck I would donate the money and have to ride with one of my least favorite drivers.

At different tracks during the year, the Petty driving school will give you 3 laps in a stock car, with a driver for $99. That's I how celebrated my 50th birthday --- at 160 mph at Charlotte. LOL

Haven't been the same since. What a trip!

$99 sits a little better with me than $750. That must have been a great B-day!

:p Okay if thats what your Dad likes Bump Drafting!

BTW, TRL who drove you around the track?

I know you would be welcome to the board. But posting a picture this large that takes this long to pull up aint gonna win you any favors. :D

Thats where the rest of his posts went. Spamming and those large pictures, you better slow down and read the rules of the board or it really won't matter.

Sorry Guys We are on DSL here.. I will try to make them smaller when I get Photoshop.

DeeDee, it was an instructor for the driving school. What a hoot!
Yeah I did that down in Charlotte, in '99, it was pretty cool. My daughter wanted to do it so bad but of course she isn't old enough. She got to go in the tour van around the track though and she thought that was cool. I would love to take a lap with a driver, but not for $750.

Since I'll be in MI for the race...wonder if my daughter will want to pull $750 out of her piggy bank for the ride along for me? :D

Driving them is a lot more fun! I did the Dale Jarrett driving school at the Milwaukee Mile in 2000. I think I only paid $280 for 10 laps, but I had a fan club discount. Want to try it down at Chicagoland one of these days...they'll let ya drive a lot faster down there! :whoopee:

Honestly 17 fan, I think I would be too nervous to actually drive one. But that would be fun.
