No disrespect to Bubba, but he's no Kurt Busch. I doubt his presence in the 55 ride would have the same effect as Kurt's did in the 78.The car may still be there and Bubba still needs a ride. He could be the Kurt that helped the 78 team.

That wouldn't bother me. If there are, hopefully they'll be ones still trying to reach their dream, not looking at it in the rear view mirror.I guess there won't be any back markers now that he's gone.
Somebody has to come last Charlie. That's all I'm saying. That wouldn't bother me. If there are, hopefully they'll be ones still trying to reach their dream, not looking at it in the rear view mirror.

I was at Daytona when Cope won...... I loved it....... and was also glad when he won at Dover..... I am not or was a Derrick Cope fan.... what was the most amazing thing about those wins in the '90 season....... Buddy Parrott...... and Bob Whitcomb racing..... a team that no one gave a tinker's damn to do anything..... Buddy was already written off as a has been..... and here he won the Daytona 500 with an upstart team and a driver no one had heard of...... I was so proud of Buddy..... It rejuvenated his career and he went on to work for Roush for several years..... to me...... that's a real ''feel good'' story.......his win at Daytona ruin my day, I was there for his win at dover and that was a bad day too DALE broke a cam shaft on lap 24.
