+ Set by Owner Points

I felt horrible for Jeremy, but i guess that's racin'

WTG Jeff.

I feel sorry for Ward. He is such a good guy. I wish he could get a quality ride like Jeff has.

Seems like a lot of folks are pulling for Ward to do well. I was really hoping he would make it this weekend....:( :( :(

If nobody else will say it I WILL!

I wonder how long it will take the 55 car to get into the top 35?
Betsy:rolleyes:

woohoo! 5th!!

Junior has been pretty good at California/Michigan/Kansas and usually runs very well when he qualifies well. I'm definitely looking forward to this one

Yeah, I wish Jeremy and Ward were in this thing.

In place of who? Who would you take out of the race for them. Ragan, his car was faster. Who wants to put a known slower car on the track in the place of a faster one. Until, or unless, this thing shakes out some are going home each week. And, that may answer Betsy's question:

Betsy

If he can't make the race he won't get into the top 35. As long as we have this many teams going home each week it's going to make it real hard for any of them to really crack the top 35 unless one lucks out and wins.

Anyone else notice 10 of the top 12 are Chevys?? And only 1 Ford in the top 20!!!

Highest Toyotas Dave Blaney & Brian Vickers (14th & 15th). All the Toyotas were fast enough to make the field, but three missed because of owner points.

Hooray for Paul Menard making the race in 22nd place!

What does Mikey have to do?

From the chart it looks like Mikey posted the 34th fastest time.. And did not make the show.
What place does he have to time to get into the next race? I am a bit lost in this. I thought the top 35 were assured of a starting spot?
perhaps my old eyes are failing some.
Betsy;)

The top 35 in owner's points are guaranteed a spot. So that leaves 8 positions. Then take out the past Championship provisionals and you have 6. So Mikey must be in the top 6 of those not already locked in. This usually translates to better than 20th on time overall. ie Vickers was 15th fastest and he made the show.
Now if Vickers places well after a few races he might crack the top 35 in owner's points. Which would knock someone already in out. Remember last year Kyle Petty put a lot of effort to be in the top 35 so he wouldn't have to qualify on speed.

Good question..... maybe Nemechek and Jarrett.

Fontana may prove interesting. It will be the first race using unleaded fuel Some teams may have engine problems. Yates is concerned as to how the valves stand up.
