Alright, NASCAR, it's time to race elsewhere. Rockingham. Darlington. Kentucky. Anywhere is better than there.

Maybe NASCAR should give Infineon two dates and stop going to the Auto Club Speedway of Southern California, that's a mouthful, all together.

Everytime we go there, there's problems. It's either oppresively hot, rainy or the race doesn't sell out. Everytime we go there, the fans wonder why the race has two dates.

Didn't they leave Rockingham because of unpredictable weather.

NASCAR shafted Rockingham, a track the racers loved, for this POS 2 mile "racetrack." Okay, so the seepage system works as well as the levees in New Orleans, and racing there in the summertime means the fans are gonna die from a heat stroke.

And the races aren't even that great. They're usually boring as hell.

FWIW, a buddy of mine spoke to Hillenburg who told him that the Rock may be getting a Truck race. There's an Arca race in May(?) and the good seats are $30.

The ARCA race in May is supposed to be HUGE.

The Carolina 500k. 500 laps, 312 miles. 50 car field. LIVE ON SPEED!

I'd go to the race but it's the day after the Richmond Sprint Cup event.

Andy Hillenberg

I always liked him as a driver. He's my hero for reviving The Rock. :beerbang:

It's a 4 hour drive between from Richmond to Rockingham. Eff that, not for an ARCA race. They need to come out to RIR or Hagerstown Speedway.

I don't think that race is 500 laps. Maybe 300.

The biggest reason they should do something with California is the trash. For people that claim to be so eco-friendly, they are the trashiest bunch of race fans I have seen.

Having this race and Vegas on back-to-back weekends will prove to be a killer too. As I asked in another thread, I was curious to see if the teams were staying out west or coming back and then head west again. Everything I have seen indicated the teams are coming back, hence the urge to get the race in Sunday night. I bet they won't do that again regardless of when Easter falls.

I don't think that is right Andy. The track is over a mile.

1.017 mile paved track

For the record, the ARCA race at Rockingham will be:

312 laps
312 miles (give or take a few fractions)
500 kilometers (give or take a few)

They are expecting a big field of entries.

Watching Nascar Now and they want to convert to a high-bank restrictor plate track at CA. So far the "fans" have voted over 60% "yes." I guess they know they have to do SOMETHING there since it sucks now.
