She has ran 8 races this year for an average finish of 12.5 finished every race without any wrecks. She might be an up and comer to watch. looks like a real one if she can catch some breaks. Sorry for the big pic..it just did that.

Ferns, Taylor
Hometown: Shelby Twp, Michigan
DOB: 12-12-95
Student/Race driver

Taylor Ferns is breaking into the stock car world from the open wheel ranks, mainly USAC where she has the distinction of being the winningest female driver in USAC history. Recently signed on with Venturini Motorsports for 2013, she made her ARCA Racing Series debut at Mobile Int'l Speedway in March where she qualified fifth and finished ninth. She is also scheduled to compete in ARCA short track events at Toledo, Elko, Iowa and DuQuoin, as well as superspeedway events at Pocono and Kentucky. Fern's ARCA schedule will complement and coincide with her full-time duties driving midgets and Silver Crown cars in USAC. Her USAC accomplishments include winning the 2011 National USAC MOPAR D1 Regional Midget Championship and the 2010 Kara Hendrick Spirit Award. Ferns, a junior at Lutheran High School North, recently earned recognition and Honor Society membership based on her scholarship, leadership, service, character, and for her ability to maintain a 3.8 and above grade point average.

She ran pretty good at the last Arca race. Running dirt is the way to go. I just hope she gets a shot with a good development team.
