Google Maps tells me to take 301 to 95 until I get to Rocky Mountian, NC.

Then it tells me to take SH-64 through Raliegh up until it splits and take US-1 all the way through Richmond County until I get to Rockingham Speedway.

Would taking 95 or 301 to 401 in Fayetteville and taking 401 up to 211 and hitting US-1 in Pinebluff get me there any faster?

Also, is there any night life around Rockingham/Wadesboro/Pinebluff area or do I have to go to Charlotte or Fayetteville for some fun? :whoopee:

Andy, for you I think that Fayetteville has all you need. Plenty of night life there.

Take I-95 to Rocky Mount and exit onto 64 West. Follow that to Raleigh and get on I-440. Follow it around and exit onto 1 South. Stay on 1 till you get to Rockingham. Fairly easy route.

I would avoid Fayetteville. If you're driving that far South go to Lumberon on I-95 and then take 74 West to Rockingham.

As to nightlife it depends what you're looking for. Fayetteville may be too far to go and there used to be plenty of juke joints along 74 to find what you're looking for. Tho its been a few years since I was along that stretch looking.

bp, c'mon give the kid a break. You and I know that he would have loads of fun with those Lumbee Indians. Then again, Lumberton might just be the right place for Andy to partee. ;)

Well I don't know about now but there was a time when Robeson county was dry but the liquor houses still flourished. Problem was they were run by Lumbees and that was not a place for a white man to be unless they had an invitation. And, even then you better watch what you did or said. If you knew the right people you got the invitations.
Somehow I don't know that Andy would fit into that crowd. More'n likely he'd look at someone's woman and it'd be on.
