I've been car shoping. leaning toward the rs2 b/c it a v6 and wont burn much gas.been worried about what's been going on in Egypt lately.do you think gas prices will go up? anyone have any suggestions on which car is better?ss2 is 10thou more.i got a dealership to go down on the rs2 to 30thou.it has racing package, sunroof, bells and whistles, tinted windows and is dark gray w/dark interior.
any advice would be much appreciated.thanks.

Never thought I'd say this but my days of the V-8 are over. Biggest motor in our "fleet" of 4 vehicles is the 4.3 in my 05 chevy truck.

Gas isn't going to get cheaper, if you like the rs2 go for it.

I don't know if I'm suggesting sacrilege here, but if you want a V6 sports car, you're better off with a Mustang. Of course I don't know how much you should read into my opinion. After all, I'm biased as a Ford guy, and have never driven either car. I just know based on the head-to-head pieces by Car and Driver that the RS 2 doesn't have as much FTD (Fun To Drive) factor as the Mustang, since it's a lot heavier, and that the Mustang comes from a company that isn't on a path straight back to what caused the most embarrassing corporate collapse most of us have ever seen. It's also a bit better on gas and may be a tad cheaper too, I'm not sure.

Out of the Camaros though, if you're worried about gas, it sounds like the RS 2 is at least a worthy entry to the sport V6 game, so I see no reason not to save you money and go for that.
