Just wondering if anyone on here takes an RV or camping trailer to any Nascar races.

I'm planning to retire in the near future and I am considering buying a 5th wheel trailer to spend some time with the Mrs down in warmer climates for part of the winter. Since it will be sitting in my driveway why not haul it to a few races over the summer? :D

Does anyone have information on how you go about getting a campsite in the infield? Any info about Nascar camping would be greatly appreciated.

TIA. :beerbang:

We camp in our fifth-wheel at the Texas races. My suggestion is to check the racetrack's website for track camping information, if available. Or, you can call the track directly.

we camp at Charlotte....and a few other places during the year...my suggestion is to not camp in the infield....camp around the outside of the track and buy tickets...the parties and fun stuff that people talk about that goes on in the infield also go on around the outside of the track.

I'll put it to you this way...i live 5 miles from Lowes Motor Speedway, we pay the money to park our camper at the race track and stay there most of the week, its a lot of fun.

Most race tracks will have camping information on their website.

I've been doing this with my father to New Hampshire since 2001. We bring our camper over to the lot the week before a race, or as early as possible when the lot's available.
