12 Noon EST on SPEED.

I've got my DVR set, this is usually one of the best races of any kind all season long :beerbang:

Mikey is in the booth --- he'll have to make a mad dash from M'ville to Charlotte for TWIN tonight.

Don't anyone get in his way. LOL
He'll crash on the way.

Not like anyone will be in his way. More than likely, he'll be in their way driving 35mph down I95.

WTG HARVICK!!!

Kyle should've known that was coming. Remember how he wrecked Hornaday last year.

He should've known one of those two KHI trucks would get him back, eventually. :growl: Racecar drivers have an excellent memory. :D

FTR - I don't think Kyle would've come out on the winning end of a fist fight with Hornaday.

He'd go run his mouth and talk his talk but he wouldn't have thrown the first punch - Hornaday would've used Kyle's scrony ass as a track cleaner.

dammit... I missed it. I fell asleep on the couch last night and then crawled into bed and forgot to set the timer. Is is going to be replayed this week?

I DVR'd it but it ran well over a half hour longer than SPEED expected so I won't see the excellent finish when I get home and watch it.

He was running toward the road, probably to one of the many parking lots with RVs. I'm guessing normally he would have gotten a ride, but he was pissed so he didn't want to wait. I took a photo of him out in front of the track offices, he has his firesuit only half on.

at least nobody asked him for an autograph right there lol. Would have been a issue with the public there.

I watched Nascar Now and I didn't see Kevin do anything that Kyle hasn't done to others. Then he goes across the commentment line and thinks Nascar should not count that against him. Then he runs off like a little baby. WaWaWa

He walked away, instead of going up and running his mouth and saying something he'd regret.

How many times has Tony Stewart dug himself from a deep hole to a deeper hole because he opened his pihole when someone shoved a microphone in his face?

isnt that what nascar wants?

also, how i see it, harvick watched what jimmie did in cup, and did the exact same thing in his truck. Move, be moved, or be wrecked.

Oh please. He did the same thing after the Nationwide race last week. Left his car on turn 3 and made his crew go get it for him. If he wants to play with the big dogs, he ought learn to deal with it. He's done that and worse to others and then he talks real big about himself. Believe me, he wasn't thinking he might get in trouble if he said anything. He was just pissed off and getting away as fast as he could.

You made fun of him all through this thread and now you're suddenly his defender?

I thought it was funny seeing someone move him out of the way to win the race.

That said, I can't bash Kyle for leaving the track. If he would've stuck around and done interviews bashing everyone, the very same people (who hate Kyle Busch just because he's Kyle Busch) would be here *****ing and moaning about how he's an arrogant jerk.

He walked away. That's it. End of story. It happens all the time. Other drivers have done it to. In fact, I can think of times Gordon's thrown a little temper tantrum when he's been wrecked on the last lap when he's done the same thing to other drivers.

Does that mean Gordon's an immature brat who can't hang with the big dawgs?

Seriously, you people will look for any reason to bash Kyle.

Yep, you're right. That's why I respect Tony Stewart. He ain't skeered. Little Kyle just runs through the parking lot.

Because crews and owners love hearing their driver bash them over mistakes that happen all the time :sarcasm:

Drivers go walk away and leave the track all the time. The only reason this is a big deal is because it's Kyle Busch. He could sit the wrong way, sign one too many autographs or buy a Rolex and everyone's going to get pissed off.

LOL, Kevin is fast becoming one of my favorites.

I'll try to be gentle and not come across as bashing kyle.
How many times have we seen him dive bomb into a corner and rely on the car outside to keep him out of the wall? If that outside car whacks the wall, that's racin' according to kyle. How many times have we seen him give a not so gentle bump entering the corner, or flat out forcing the issue, and that car, if lucky only loses a few spots if he doesn't whack the wall. Again, according to kyle, that's racin'. How he didn't cause the "big one" at Daytona the way he was throwing blocks is still a mystery to me.
But someone does it to him and he whines like a baby, only thing missing is him blowing them snot bubbles out of his nose.
Can he drive, yes. Is he reckless, he77 yes. One of these days Jeff, Jimmy, Jr ,Tony or any other driver is going to get fed up and is going to put him threw the wall, not into it.
I wasn't thrilled with Kurts driving style when he entered cup, but he has matured and adjusted accordingly. Kyle is still a punk.
Sorry iffin i upset anyone,,:D

<edit> I don't think the boys in the booth referring to him as 'wild thing' or 'rowdy' helps any. It just feeds his immature ego.

I now return you to the regular forum. :D:whoopee:

I can think of several drivers who wreck several drivers and get mad when someone does it to them. It's not limited to Kyle.

Kevin Harvick gets mad and throws a bigger tantrum than Kyle Busch when someone wrecks him out. How many classic Harvick moments do you want to see?

Matt Kenseth whined when Stewart wrecked him at Daytona and Gordon at Chicago - but he's intentionally wrecked Harvick three times, Gordon at Bristol, Stewart a couple times. Just last year, he intentionally wrecked someone at Phoenix and got away with it.

EVERY driver has wrecked someone at one point or another. And every driver has gotten mad at someone for wrecking them at one point or another.

Spike's boy Brian Vickers intentionally and maliciously wrecked Mike Bliss to win a trophy dash at Charlotte. He whines whenever something doesn't go his way. Remember Michigan?

And all of you who don't like the way Kyle Busch races every lap, I'll warn you not to go to your local short track because you won't like what you see.

Big difference on a short track Andy. And we have guys that it's not if, it's when they'll put a competitor in the wall to gain one more position and maybe another 50 bucks payout. Those are the guys who pay the price, eventually. The guy who puts him there gets the admiration of the remaing racers,,,,plus a few beers:beerbang:

I've seen this type of **** happen in big league racing as well. In fact, one of Jack Roush's drivers (you know the same Roush that whines about other drivers all the time) went in an ARCA race and wrecked Scott Speed. The general consensus was that it was intentional and planned out. Some of the teams said Stenhouse told a bunch of crew members and a couple other drivers that he was going to wreck him.

Or the Peyton Sellers/Joey Logano controversy at the Irwindale suckfest?

It's part of racing.

And, if you'd like to go back to some more - Dale Earnhardt intentionally wrecked drivers for position many, many, many times. "I just meant to rattle his cage."

I remember one race Rusty Wallace threw a water bottle at him to get his message across - and every other driver was complaining about his driving. But everyone loved Dale and worshiped the ground he walked on.

(Rusty sent an armored truck to Bill France's house and delivered his $10,000 worth of pennies to pay his fine for that water bottle toss:D)

not upset :) that punk might very well win the sprint cup championship. i think he'd be mightily pleased if that upset a lot of folks. <g>

Not exactly defending the guy but perhaps he was pissed at Nascar and or himself for the "Bonehead move of the race" and not at Harvick.:eek:

It's really funny how everyone can't wait to bash Kyle. Why? Because he whoops your driver week in and week out? Or, is it because of all the records he breaks (and is going to break)? Is it because he was the youngest to win a Cup race? The only guy to win 22 races in one season in 3 different series? His ****y mouth and arrogant attitude (because he knows he's as fast as you hate him for being)? Which one of these pisses people off the most? Maybe it's all of them. Who cares?
One thing I can tell you is, GET USED TO IT. He's not going away any time soon. He's not going to suddenly lose it and get worse. He's going to mature, get seasoned and probably have more records and "firsts" than any modern era driver.
All y'all keep yer hankies handy; yer gonna need 'em...

By the way Kevin is 34 with 11 Cup wins, Kyle is 23 with 14 Cup wins. Kevin isn't going to get many more, Kyle is just starting...

The more I think about this whole thing..... I think Kyle was really pizzed because he didn't get the chance to get even. When he tried to clear the fender rub he had all intentions of putting Harvick in the wall. And then he screwed up and his master plan was foiled. ;)

I would have walked away also.

I will admit that I was hoping that he could get the fender pulled away on the wall. If he did and came to win it we would be watching the footage of it for years. It would be one of those stories that people talk about for a long time.

LOL, Kevin is fast becoming one of my favorites.

I'm liking him more and more all the time. I think he's really growing since he and his wife became owners. Actually, I recently read something or saw it on TV where the other drivers were saying Kevin has really grown a lot. I really enjoy him in the truck and Nationwide races. He hasn't done too much lately in cup, but from starting from when I used to think of him as a yippy little dog nipping after your heels, to really enjoying him, is definitely a change for me.

As far as Kyle, I never said he couldn't drive. It's obvious he can. I enjoy some rubbing, beating and banging, even moving someone, but being super wreckless and wrecking people, is different, esp. when it's a pattern. The kid rubs me the wrong way and I don't care who else does what or says what, it's not going to make me like Kyle any better. We all have our likes and dislikes and none of us are going to convince the other to change our minds. That's called fans of NASCAR. That's how WE roll. ;)
