Long has a ride for the rest of 2002 and beyond
ThatsRacin.com Report

Carl Long is teaming up with current Craftsman Truck Series team Ware Racing Enterprises to field the No. 51 Revival Soy Dodge.

Long's first race with Ware Racing Enterprises will be the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Although primary sponsorship is only in place for Bristol, Ware Racing and Carl Long plan to enter all remaining 2002 Winston Cup races, as well as a full time schedule in 2003.

Good for him. This guy must really want to race to have financed his own operation for so long with so little to show for it. I for one am interested to see what he can do. Three cheers for the little man!!

Dave put Carl in an extra car a couple three years back at Daytona. Didn't make the race but what the heck ya know.

Anyways, Carl is another of those guys who has spent many a night in a hauler instead of a motorcoach hoping against hope to make a race. I wish him well, and hope he makes the race even if it means the 71 goes home.

Ok, maybe not THAT well:D

has anybody seen an entry list yet?.....and btw, the 51 has no provs so it's go fast or go home....did I mention that I think prov rules spuck?

i love watching the underdogs, they have nothing to lose, so they give 110%

Underdogs are a big part of Nascar. I love to watch them give it there all and like it even more if for some odd reason they do well.
