The 12-time Grand Prix winner and 1981 World Championship runner-up has passed away at age 79. Reutemann had been diagnosed with liver cancer in 2017.

He was also the governor of Santa Fe Province from 1991-1995 and from 1999-2003. He served as a Senator from 2003 until his death.

Amazing, amazing driver of the 70s. Known for being one of the greatest, next to Sterling Moss, to not be an F1 world champion.

Had a lot of success with Brahbam and Ferrari. He was also apart of Williams second year of competiton, Carlos was pretty good with the then new Williams outfit.

May he rest in peace and race on.
 
Was impressed with his success in politics. Good for him. Wasn't a big fan of his since he was usually on a team along side one of my favorite drivers but I did enjoy watching him race since he was so good.
