I know............I really like Sissy...she is a great actress.......:) but still gonna check it out, might not last the whole 3 hours...

That was a cool movie!! I have never seen or read the origanal one but i think it would be a safe bet that this one was just as good or better than the first!! I think i will possibly try and find the first one!!

The book is awesome, but I think almost all of King's books are awesome.

I watched it....it was good....different but good. I have seen the first one it was good. So it is a toss up between them.

We didn't watch it here for fear the local station would flood us with political ads again. Did you guys all get swamped with election eve garbage from the candidates?

Yes, swapped with political ads. It makes me not want to vote for them. I wish they would get that the ads irritate not help their chances. And I also got calls from politicians including a pre-recorded phone call from Laura Bush endorsing the Republican candidate from governor. How impressive.

I didn't catch a lot of Carrie, but from what I saw I still prefer the original, it stayed more with the book.

I enjoyed the book, it's a shame I missed the TV movie. Maybe they will show it again or something?

I liked the original myself.....was more with the book, this one wasn't..........it was ok...but not worth the 3 hours, oh well..........
:)

I have to agree with you cutiepie. The original movie with Sissy was the better of the two. The book was not written for the modern day appliances we have, and just didn't fit. I believe that "Carrie" was the first scary movie that I watched, and the original scared the bejesus out of me. This one didn't. Lost interest and watched CSI Miami for the last hour.

Got lots of ads for candidates on the TV, and felt happy that I am lucky enough to live in a country that holds elections and that I am free to go vote for whomever I choose.

Was glad to see the ads on TV.

Paul, I hope your ads were better than the ones we have/had here in Texas. It was nothing but a bash fest between our candidates, and I mean ALL of them. Governor, Senators, Attorney General, etc..... It was really disgusting! They never really discussed what they were going to try to accomplish if elected.:(

Ours were pretty dirty too.

But I wonder if people from other countries would have any sympathy for us...

Thanks!

I just try to always remember the freedoms we have, and to not take any of them for granted.

Too much blood has been spilled for these freedoms.

I get awful patriotic sometimes...:)

I think we all do in our own ways.;)

Read the book years ago, saw a rerun of the original last week, and missed CSI last nite for the new one.

The original was sooooo much better and truer to the book.

Usually Stephen King has some say in the movies made from his work, but this one, I think not.

I own and have read EVERY ONE of his books. I love that sick man!

The new carrie? Was it made a few years ago?

Did you all know that Stephen King (usually) has a small role in the films? In "Maximum Overdrive" he is seen at the ATM at the beginning of the film.

My fav Stephen king movie was Christine (of course cause it's a MOPAR)
Actually I like all his films but the books are better:p

I like christine I have seen it a couple times on TV. My mom said sh edid not like that movie when it first came out ,it kinda freeked her out.

Anybody see "Children of the Corn", or "Green Mile", or "The Stand" or.....................many others.
I have had the honor of meeting him when he was in RI, as a member of a band.

His wife Tabatha is also a pretty good author.
