Carson Palmer to the Raiders

Two first rounders, or a first and second seems like an awful lot to give up for Carson Palmer. I applaud their desire to go all out in an effort to win now, but they really have mortgaged their future. They basically don't have any draft picks next year now. Between Terrell Pryor and Jason Campbell they had already lost several draft picks. I really don't think Carson Palmer is worth that much, but I do hope it works out for them. I don't think Jason Campbell was going to lead them very far anyway, so an upgrade was neccessary at some point.

I just don't understand why they gave so much for him. I don't know much about the guy but I haven't heard anyone who's said he's worth it. Not like you're getting a Manning or a Brady here.

Good trade, The raiders make absolutly horrible 1st round picks. Picking Heyward Bay over Crabtree, Picking Michael Huff with the 6th pick, Picking an offensive line man that wasnt even a starter last year with the 3rd pick, and lets not forget probably the biggest bust in the history of the draft Jamarcus Russell with the 1st pick over Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson

the raiders have a long history of trading for questionable players and turning them into all pros. i hope carson palmer continues this tradition and becomes one of the leagues better qb's. jason campbell has been playing over his head. he's not a raider qb.
