Would you have them do nothing and continue to struggle?

why not cut back to two teams, reinvigorate the program, work hard on testing and have a third car as an R&D car? Then, maybe when they get the act together, add a full time third team. This seems to be what DEI is doing.

And you think spreading manpower and resources even thinner is going to improve them?

If they had 3 strong teams with proven success with steady performance you could add a team, but even that would dilute the system for a bit. However all 3 teams are struggling with performance, CGFSR is struggling with internal problems and they think they can add a team and become stong? That's not how it works, you have to have a solid foundation for success, this is like building on quicksand.

i did not think about it the way u did
i just thought that all of the drivers they have a good drivers
but i do see your poing

Here's something that people aren't thinking about. The more teams, the more testing. The younger the driver...i.e. a rookie, the more testing. More testing equates to better performance. It's clear that the owners know that more is better and that's the reason they want to expand. The biggest problem with all that is sponsorship money. If they can find that, they will get as many teams as they can, but without the money, they'll go with what they have.

Except NASCAR is changing the testing policy, Ea Mfg. will get 6 tests, ALL teams of that Mfg. will have to test at the same track at the same time and rookies will get no additional tests. I believe NASCAR is doing this to try and even the playing field from the huge teams to the small teams as far as testing is concerned.

oh well, if they really want to expand, then we shall see next year won't we.. i bet the new team will stuggle to make the races in the start.. but good for mears, i thought for a second he wasn't gonna be racing..
