Chad Knaus - Head Games

Nothing is better than "I'd wreck your mom to win the championship"

Yes. I believe the exact quote was... "I'd wreck my own mom to be the first at the Burger King drive through window"
And then he would be pissed because I would already be there.:D

KyBu has them worried.
Chad is trying to cause dissension among the teammates @ JGR. They've already got Hamlin talking about the pecking order there so I wouldn't be surprised that Kyle may be wondering where he works into that order. Especially with Kenseth's success in his first year @ JGR. I doubt this is the last that we'll hear from Knaus and Johnson.

For years, the garage has banked on a Kyle meltdown taking him out of the chase. So far it's worked out. Chad just needs that over anxious Kyle to show up. I watched Kyle practically wreck Matt pushing him on the last restart at Dover, so it isn't far off.

You're probably right. His run this season compared to Kenseth is coming up shy. That has to make him think a little.

Or they want him to lose focus and race Matt extra hard. Personally, I hope he doesn't fall for it and proves he really has changed.

If they feel they need to have that happen, maybe they're not as confident as they'd like others to believe.

This kind of stuff is all part of the big picture, pre Chase or in the current format. It's been going on forever as the NASCAR season comes to a close. It's just like any other post season in any other sport.

Maybe but it seems to me that the #48 team are the ones everybody else is supposed to be worryed about.
Again, it's nothing but a little mind game that Chad is playing. The first 1:12 section of that audio is pretty telling. He's simply trying to muddy the waters a little bit over there at JGR. Get Kyle to think a little more about Matt than the bigger picture. I think Chad's just having a little fun. Nothing more than that.

I think they've got you fooled too.

lol

Remember JJ trying extra hard to get in Brads head last year? I love that part of competition. It tells you a lot about how well centered their personality is, and the cracks or flaws can become very entertaining.

I know it sounds mean, but if you want to win the game, you better get it right.

Tony with Carl as well.

I gotta go. I'll debate later. Pirates/Cardinals game getting ready to start. Go Bucs!

Tony is the master when it comes to mind games.

That was classic material. Poor Carl looked like a fish out of water thru the whole thing. The #1 moment for me was during the rain delay when Tony told Jack 'tell your boy to be ready, because I'm coming for him'. Tony said Jack looked at him like he had 3 heads.

On Race Hub this morning they showed a shot of Matt knocking on a window waving and grinning at Jimmie while Jimmie was doing an interview. At first Jimmie didn't know what to think and then he just looked at Matt and smiled and laughed. It was pretty funny.

Matt is loose. I imagine he feels that after all those years at Roush, he now knows how good he really is. To think Carl turned down that ride. Imagine what he's thinking right now.

JJ was tense last year, but seems more relaxed now. It could be an amazing 3 way battle.

I think Jimmie's more worried about Matt Kenseth than Kyle Busch. They're trying to get Kyle pissed off enough to race Matt harder and possibly take him out of some races.

that's a BRILLIANT observation. I kinda wish I had thought of that. ;)

What's up Andy? You ready for some hardcore racing this weekend?

I met a fan of yours at Ace. A good ole' boy named Ed says he follows you on Race22.

It's gonna get real this weekend. :bounce:

I have all my camera batteries charged. If my balloon ride falls thru again, I'll be there for Saturdays practice and a stroll around the pits, if it's allowed. I got a room in ?Reidsville? about an hour away.
