Changes At Roush Racing Up In Air
Greg Biffle knows the changes are coming to Roush Racing. What he doesn't know yet is exactly what they'll entail, and whether crew chief Doug Richert will be part of the personnel shuffle. Jack Roush said at Dover that changes would be made in the operation, but said Friday at Kansas Speedway that he's still in the process of determining what those moves will be. So Biffle and Richert can only wait to see what comes next.

"I know that we're making some pretty major changes in our organization throughout," Biffle said. "Kind of reorganizing a lot of stuff and going to try and re-energize what we did in 2005, sharing a lot of information. Not saying we're not now, but trying to focus on that better and find out what works really good and then spread it company wide and then try to get everybody going that way."

Biffle said it looks like he'll remain paired with Richert and that he hopes that's the case. Richert has served as Biffle's crew chief since August 2003.

"But you just never know when these big shakeups come," Biffle said.

Richert's hearing the same rumors as everyone else.

"I guess it really just depends on what they decide to do with everything," Richert said Saturday.(Scene Daily)

Oddly enough, I noticed during the race that NBC played an old Subway commercial, congratulating Biffle on a great 2005 season and looking forward to 2006. I think it was the one where he tossed a sub in Richert's face.

Anyway, I'd have to think that 2006 has been a disappoinment for #16 and his fans.

But yeah, I can see that some changes are most likely coming and one of them is maybe reconsidering the move to put a Cup winning crew Chief in the Busch series.
