Q: After the Talladega race the fans threw bottles at Jeff Gordon's car as he broke Dale Earnhardt's career win mark. These people are from your home state. What did you think?

Barkley: They're just mad 'cause he's got his own teeth. They've got a bias against Jeff Gordon 'cause of that.

Barkley: I had a problem with it because it shows a lot of ignorance still exists. It really bothered me -- it really did because it's just another black eye for Alabama.
 
Yes he is. I've always respected him for his take no prisoners attitude. One the most underrated Basketball players of all time.
 
I think that it would have been better had he said something like..."Yeah, it bothers me a lot that reporters such as yourself would suggest that only people from Alabama would do such a thing". Just think, had this reporter been from Detroit, I wonder what they thought about those people who tore up the streets when the Pistons won the NBA title. Just a thought, but of course, this reporter was probably from somewhere where there isn't any such sports that people act like idiots. In my opinion, whether I like Barkley or not, it's the reporter that I have a big dislike for, and I don't even know who they are.
