Charles Barkley!

"That's false advertising. Those women had their own teeth, and they were clean. They had nice hair. They don't have those type of women at NASCAR."

I don't see Al Sharpton running around now crying racism.

What the hell are you talking about???

Whatever this is about it would not be about racism. That would be about stereotyping. Two different things. Plus it is Charles Barkley.

I'd love to "sterotype" my foot up his ..... moving along.

And this guy still has his job.

TNT ran a Nascar commercial during the NBA finals showing some woman that Barkley seems to think are of the type that don't attend Nascar races.

That's the comment he made about the commercial.

Typical Barkley brown, runny spew - IMO.

That would explain it. Who the heck watches the NBA and Hockey anymore.

ABC's NBA playoff TV ratings were off 26% before the Finals — the biggest drop ever for the NBA postseason — and the San Antonio Spurs-Detroit Pistons title series is flirting with record-low ratings.

What does he know....He doesnt go to RACES.......

Ask Brad Daugherty another Basketball insider...but Brad clearly know his sport .........

A lack of information has never stopped Barkley from spouting off about any random subject.

Of course, I've been guilty of that a time or two myself

I don't care for Barkley too much myself, but I just think he was trying to make a joke. I normally think jokes like that are kind of funny. He said something like that about the people that go to Talladega before also. While this is not a lot different than what Don Imus lost his job for, I think people just need to lighten up a bit. I don't see where a guy doesn't have to right to make a freaking joke. It's not like he is insulting retarted people or someone else who can't help themselves.

I never cared for Barkley. When I used to watch the NBA I could have smacked him.

I know we are a bit behind you guys but in New Zealand Barkley was on Letterman last night and he is pretty funny....I like him

He was pretty good Basketball player in his time but he has one of the absolute worst golf wings I've ever seen. I'm surprised he doesn't somehow unhinge himself when he swipes at that ball.

How can Imus get fired for saying female baskball players have nappy hair but Charles Barkley can get away on TV with saying that female Nascar fans are not clean, have nice hair or their own teeth?
If you find it offensive that TNT tolerated this racist comment, then let TNT know! Send an email to [email protected]

That's just it. I don't find it racist. No more than I did what Imus said.
If you want racism at it's finest just listen to Rev. Jackson and Sharpton.

well maybe if the league wasnt full of a bunch of thugs....and the playoffs didnt last 3 months long.....................................

Stereotype, yes. Racist, no. While I'm sure Imus didn't mean what he said, what he said was a little over the top. Was it worth his job? Not at all.

Barkleys, Barkley, I think the guys a riot. As far as stereotyping things, The Round Mound of Rebound was dispelling a NASCAR Myth.
