It's so true.
Good olde' Chuck county.
There are so many things I love about it...love to hate might be a better term, but hey
--Home is home!
-intersection: A boat store, and 2 liquor stores.
-The Cops let you off if your friends are there drinking buddies.
-We've got drive through liquor stores. (Not anymore, liberals are trying to ruin that)-You can live within a 10 minute drive from two high schools, yet you are zoned for one 20 minutes away.
-We've got an Island.
-The only "cool" place to go to to listen to live music is My Brothers Place--a nice christian "coffee house" that smells like pee and plays metal and punk rock and rock.
-We aren't Prince Georges County.
-The bible thumpers never give up.
-5 churches in a 10 minute walk
-A night on the town involves driving back and forth between La Plata and Waldorf numerous times.
-We've got TWO Walmarts, and LaPlata has the "good one" and the NASCAR store at the mall. (Not anymore)
-Pocket Change...it's been there since the mall opened, and it will stand for all time.
-All we have to be proud of is the Mudd house and Good Charlotte (Mudd is the doctor that helped cure James Wilkes Booth after he shot Lincoln...like you all care)
-Port Tobacco Players--greatest community theater in the country.
-We're the Tornado Alley of Maryland.
-We pronounce it La Playtah, even though it's spanish and should be pronounced Lah Plahtah
-We were worried about the sniper shootings, even though none we close by
-We rent the Show Place Arena for high school graduations...the most illustrious events there besides computer expos and equestrian events
-We really do have farms.
-75% of the graudating class each year goes to CSM
-EVERY single person in the county has been to CSM atleast once.
- we have
-we have a middle schools with the initials BS MS,PMS
-24 hour Denny's on 301.
- Dads tend to refer to their guns around boyfriends
-There's always someone stupider than you are
-Ain't is proper english.
-we call it Chuck County instead of charles county.
- Cows are everywhere
- the "new" thing is the local La Plata safeway, its huge!
-My middle school nickname is ANUS
- We drink beer and vodka strait not wine
-Smoking pot is the norm
-we have wawa's. they are the greatest thing alive. only there can you make yourself a mocha french vanilla hot chocolate capuccinno blend, drink it all, and then fill it up again before you leave the gas station.
--no one north of PG knows we exist
- there is an EMU FARM less than 2 minutes from MAURICE J. MCDONOUGH!!
--Johnny Boy's BBQ, Murphy's store where you can get your grocercies and sit down and have a drink at the same time. Also don't forget about Captain Billy's and Robertson's and Giligan's I mean come on they are the best crab houses in the area. (Arsonist ruined that - Johnny Boy's)
--Lefty's BBQ near pinefield
--all of our Amish Neighbors! who dont use electricity, but yet we bring them our broken lawn mowers to fix
--Bel Alton has a liquor store and massage parlorthat sit across the street from the sketchy thrift store, Apehangers, and the porn shop....classy
