Wow, was that something else or what?

Dream come true for NBC - more commercial time.

It did, however, tighten up the points race.

Since the majoirty of chasers had problems it did not have as large of an impact but if only a few had problems I think it would have been even more embarassing for NASCAR and Humpy b/c it could have and might have been the deciding factor in the Chase and that is not good since the racing is supposed to be the factor and not poor track to tire combos. NASCAR, Humpy and GOodyear made a big mistake and although no one individually is to blame I have to wonder why more tire changes were not made when it was obvious from the test by Tony and Biffle that there was a problem.

They've said from all the tests that they had there were no blistering issues. What Tony and Biffle went through was a loose race track. Humpy drug tires around the track and you couple that with all the qualifying and Busch race you get a track with a lot of rubber put down which produces a load of grip. Load of grip makes for higher speeds which causes more downforce and so on. Did you all see Mikey's in car camera on the race? Never before had I seen a drivers body and head squat that far down into the seat in the corners. The G forces had to be unbelievable. And from what most drivers where saying they were for the most part only running 75-80 percent most of the night.

That was no race!

No one is to blame? Get real. Goodyear's race program stinks. But because they are a major sponsor, they get to stay. Money speaks.

Well, I'm just glad the homerace driver won, fortunately. yay.

no...jimmie is not the homerace driver....he doesnt own the race track he's not from around here...no one around here claims him...charlotte is Earnhardt's home....the Earnhardt family lives 20 mins from the race track and they were born and raised there.

jimmie's home race track is california

did I say hometrack? nope. I said homerace. And, I know that he isn't from around there, though he does have a house in NC.

I've now read from a few drivers that did not have any blistering place the blame on many of the teams running too agressive on their right front camber which contributed to the blow outs. Reading DJ's post race comments he indicated that they have always been conservative on their camber set up and that they did not have any blistering throughout the race. The same went for Tony Stewart.

so does just about every other driver in the series....homerace? didnt know there was such a thing.

I was thinking the same thing. Almost all drivers have a home in NC. I have heard of home track, but homerace is a new one.

I was refering to his sponser, which, the last time I checked, is Lowe's. Or did he go back to ExedrinPM?
