Chase Elliott to race for JRM with NAPA sponsorship

Sweet...and the number 9 also, now I have some one to really follow again!

Damn Tootin. Good for Chase and he get's the 9. I'm glad NAPA came back from the dark side. And as to the naysayers screaming that NAPA was gone permantly from Nascar, here's your dinner.

Five years from now, people are going to be hating Chase Elliott the same way they hate Jimmie Johnson now.
Possibly, he sure has the talent, and he hooked up with top organization so the future looks bright. Only thing that would make this perfect is if he was driving a Ford!

Yeehaw! This gives me a reason to start watching the Nationwide Series regularly. This kid's gonna be a star.

@nascarcasm

Based on NAPA's previous sponsorship, Dale Jr. best get measured for Elvis suit and practice arrhythmic ass-shaking in front of camera.

Harvick is signed to run 12 Nationwide races for JR Motorsports also next year. We all know of the long love affair he has had with Kyle for years. Glad Kahne is out and Harvick is in, Harvick will pop a top knot on Kyle's head.

Big news. Very pretty racecar. It'd be cool to watch JRM cars be real fast again.

He has to catch him first and we all know his track record for doing that. They need to put a parking brake in Harvicks car so that it won't roll away and make him look like a total idiot again like the last time he tried to do something to KB. He might want to stay clear of Kyle anyway, because brother Kurt is in the same garage and he might just loosen his brake line or steering wheel. :D Now that i have had my fun i will get back on course here and say that i'm happy for Elliot, and i'm glad NAPA stayed in Nascar.

well one thing, Elliot Sr. was the most popular driver in Nascar for years, and now with his son racing and he on the sidelines, makes for one heck of a fan base.

Yes!!! :partytimeBoy, I cant tell you how happy I am to get this news. It was looking kinda bleek for Chase there for a while. So happy to see him get a ride and especially with JR Motorsports. Now who in the world would have ever thought an Elliott would be driving for an Earnhardt? :idunno:

Hey Mikey :nyanya::nyanya:

Welcome back NAPA.

I am flat out stoked with the news and ready to go racing!!

Perhaps Chase and JRM should call MWR and thank them for being scum bag cheaters which led to NAPA leaving them.

Good to see NAPA finally supporting a quality organization.

Harvick already did that, not only caught Kyle but passed him for third place in the cup series in his lame duck last season for Childress while Kyle did his usual melt down. Kyle did really well though with the nationwiders, especially when there weren't hardly any cup drivers racing. He almost won the manufacturers championship in Nationwide, but the Penske co drivers in the 22 handed him his hat despite him dumping Kez on purpose.

You seem to have changed subjects. I thought you was talking about Harvick popping a knot on Kyles head. The last time i seen him try to do that his car rolled away and almost ran over his crew. If he wants a shot at Kyle then he probably should stay in his car because once he gets out of his car he will never catch Kyle.:D

Umm...This is a Nationwide sponsership not Cup, when they take him to Cup with full sponsership I'll eat my crow. Don't get me wrong I would love to be wrong, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens, I do hope to see NAPA back in Cup but for the near future I don't see it.

Ummm, NNS is a part of Nascar, the naysayers as I said was screaming that NAPA was out of "NASCAR" for good so the offer of dinner stands.

the last time I saw that, Kyle pushed Harvick's car out of the way and ran like a rabbit. Kez had a hard time catching up with him when he dumped him in a Nationwide race trying to chicken spit his way to a owners championship that he couldn't pull off.
Kyle is fast, that's for sure.

Glad to see NAPA sticking around. No doubt that Chase Elliott's last name is opening up a lot of opportunities for him that he probably otherwise wouldn't have had, but the kid does seem to have a fair amount of talent.

solid re-brand issue w/ napa. good slow crawl by elliott family -n- napa.

Elliott Sr. has been pushing hard on that kid, jumped right over the truck series into a full time n'wide gig. See where it goes from there. Blue chip true rookie in Nationwide with money behind him, I am not expecting him to pull a pastrama, but I think he has some rookie mistakes coming. They're not going to cut him any slack at that level.

Good news that NAPA is staying in Nascar.
I agree, but, i was starting to think maybe it wasn't going to happen because usually sponsors don't wait so long to make their decisions and announcements. I think they made a good choice with JR Motorsports and Chase.
