Ok, I still vote no...he may come closer, but I think it's Gordon's championship to lose, and he won't lose it.

If he does, I'm going to be one unhappy camper!!!!! So NO NO NO!!!!!! This is Gordon's year to win!!!

YES!!

Me too k5f!! I hope the 12th place car wins the championship...maybe that would start a revolution in the ranks.
Betsy:rolleyes:

Johnson...

... deserves it more than anybody. 8 wins, that should say it all.

My guy, Harvick, doesn't deserve to be in the Chase. I'm hoping Shane Wilson will be on top of the pit box next season.

I'm pulling for Bowyer but I think it will be Johnson.

I'm pulling for Johnson. He's been the better driver considering Gordon lucked into (or was basically given, i.e. Talladega Spring, Darlington, Pocono Spring) all but maybe 2 of his wins.

It would not bother me if Gordon won it just so the "Drive for Five" signs would go away? That's as annoying as seeing the #8 all over the place.

Jimmie or Jeffy

That's like trying ot chose the lesser of two evils! GO CLINT!!!!! JMO

Both the 24 and the 48 will run out o luck. Clint is going to win.

Hmmm...the old stats don't show this and how about Johnson winning the last 2 races under caution??

"if this was the old format Gordon would be leading the 2nd place driver ( Johnson) by 439 points which would be the largest margin of victory since Dale Earnhardt's 444-point spread over Martin in 1994. "

I will truly be happy with either one of them winning. :D :D :D

I think I will start picking Jimmy and Clint in my fantasy racing and then Jeff will win the championship. LOL :D

Sounds like a great idea. I think maybe I should pick up a Johnson and Boyer t-shirt and wear them on race day. I quit wearing my Gordon one since he was doing crappy after I got it. LOL The last few weeks I was wearing a Buffalo Bills t-shirt. Now that he didn't win this past weekend, I guess I can start wearing something else. heh heh :D

Am I a really, really bad person that I won't be happy if it's Jimmie? I mean, he has a Nextel Cup. This is Jeff's last year to get one. Only seems fair to me. ;) :D

You are all wrong..

First off Andy..Jeff Gordon didn't luck out on any of his wins..they were well earned.

And I dont know how Clint has been able to keep going at the pace he has..I dont expect him to repeat what he is doing this year...He wouldn't had even made it into the top 12 had Dale Jr. not have as many blown engines this year and that my friends is a fact.

About Gordon and Johnson, Jeff is going to win it. He has by far been more consistant then Jimmie throughout the season, just look at the stats.Gordon Has racked up more points then Jimmie in the 7 races that has been contested so far in the chase. Oh and by the way I'm not even mentioning the fact that Gordon started the chase -20 points which he made up. Taking that into account Jeff has outscored Jimmie by a margin of 49 points, 70% into the chase.

Jeff Gordon is on his way to a 5th champ whether you folks like it or not.

Sorry reck but you are wrong. He did not earn ALL of those wins this year. Don't fool yourself. Your better than that. At Pocono, Newman would have won if it had not started to rain when it did. Ray Charles could have seen that.

In every race there are the "could haves", "would haves", etc. The fact is Jeff Gordon does have many wins and he earned them. In racing there is always something that happens to give the losers an excuse.......I Had A Good Car Today.....how many times have you heard that.

Sorry but this time you are wrong.

The Pocono win was justified by the pit strategy Steve and the guys made.

They all knew that the race was going to be call half way through and yet the faster cars "Newman" per say didn't pit at the right time.

Those guys put themselves in that position to take the win which they did. Also if you were listening to Jeff in his scanner you would have known something you probably didn't know..it was already raining prior to when NASCAR threw that caution which prompted Jeff to freak out and scream for a caution.
