The first post basically has it. I found that I had to increase the cook time because my potato was rather large.
I was thinking about it today and you could really do just about anything with it to suit your own tastebuds. Including, but not limited to whatever you like for your baked potato. The edges get crispy but, once it's done you could put bacon bits between the slices add some more butter, top with shredded cheese, return it to the oven to melt the cheese and then remove it, add a dollop of sour cream and some chives. The possibilities are endless. Some people like a little tabasco on a cooked potato, too...

But how do you cut the potatoes without it being cut akwardly? I'm assuming you peel them first then try to cut them without slicing them completely?

I'm no cook but I'll try this out perhaps tomorrow on my free time.

I like them with the peels on. I scrub the potato first to remove any dirt, the slice a tiny part off down the length of the potato to give you a flat area to set down on your cutting surface, then make equal cross slices almost all the way through, fan it open a bit, douse with olive oil and melted butter, salt & pepper and put it in the oven. I put mine in a foil lined shallow Pyrex dish, but I balled up some tin foil, hot dog shaped and placed it crossways under the tin foil lining the dish to help the potato open up a bit while it baked.

Ok, so I've been toying with this potato thing that somebody text me. I found that you can scrub it clean, slice it, microwave it for five minutes, apply oil, salt & pepper and butter it then stick it in the 450* oven for 15 minutes (or until crispy to taste) and then add it to your plate and top with butter & sour cream. It's pretty tasty.
