What do you do? Do you sit on your hands or do you cheer on your favorites? Do you boo your least favorite drivers?

I just found this video posted on YouTube from the Driver Introductions @ Bristol. Driver intros are pretty unique at Bristol and I'm pretty sure that they don't televise them. That's not me taking the video but I am there, just to the right of where they are walking out. My wife, son, daughter & I had pre-race passes for this falls race. It was a great time.

Anyhow, here's the video with the 43rd place started, Kyle Busch being introduced first. What do you think the response is? Some of the crowd responses may surprise you, then again, maybe not.

Too funny seeing Mark Martin walk up to "Metal Health".. No surprise with JJ getting the most boos

Them seats sure make a lot of noise.

Kyle taunting the crowd is a good thing. I don't want to see all the intros every week, but the chase driver intros each week would be cool. Booing and cheering is what it's all about.

Did Bowyer decide he didn't want to ride with Stenhouse?

Damn, Paul Menard sounded fully awake for once.

How about Kevin Harvick's song choice - I'm Every Woman, Whitney Houston? Apparently his friend, country star, Jake Owen, was in charge of picking out the song for him.

It looks like a fun deal for the Bristol fans. Some of the drivers get into it while others would prefer to forgo the circus. I'd probably cheer but skip booing (even if I wanted to) - it is a Minnesota nice thing.

I met a large contingent of Minnesota fans last week. In fact, they even won the Tailgating Prize offered by Food City. $500 worth of groceries. They were some fun people. Not sure if they were doing any booing but they sure were doing some hooting and hollering while they partied it up all week. One even had a motorized cooler and was giving rides. Maybe that's a Minnesota thing too. ;)

Gordon got tons of love.

But I gotta say, some of these song choices from these drivers, man. lol

Surprise at JJ's song. He's a huge Metallica fan
He has a diverse taste in music; I read somewhere that he's also a big Jack Johnson fan, which is about as far away from Metallica as one can get. I think a heavy metal song works better for driver intros than a Darius Rucker song, though.

Great song choice by Junior- "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring. :headbang: One of my all-time favorite songs besides Radar Love (also by Golden Earring) and a few others.

I think he just pretends to like Metallica :headbang:to cover up the huge Culture Club and Back Street Boys collection discovered on his IPod.. around the same time he started growing the beard. His team of PR consultants and focus groups are earning their money!

Could be. JJ has a Motorcross background and those guys like girly stuff. They still use word like Gnarly on the regular. :D

Thoughts..

Refreshing to hear Kyle Busch get quite a few more cheers than boos. He is an all time great, and if Jimmie doesnt win the championship, I would LOVE to see Kyle get it done. He also owns it whenever he gets boos, so even when he does get booed, it isnt such a bad thing.

WTF was JJ Yeley thinking for his intro? I would feel incredibly awkward doing that -- its such a stupid idea. I guess its one way to have an excuse for your kid to come to intros for you. Of course JJ also played "Sexy and I Know It" for intros a couple years back, so...

Gordon got a lot of love. Normally he gets moderately loud cheering with a few boos mixed in, but the crowd loved him tonight.

Nationwide must have payed Stenhouse to do that. I know I would never do that in public, that's for sure.

What's Bowyer doing? Gilliland must feel SO much love...

Labonte getting a couple boos? That's a shocker. He doesnt have many fans anymore, but IDK why people would hate him.

Suprised Juan didnt get any boos, didnt except him to get a whole lot, but I know some people are smart enough to hate him.

Also suprised Jimmie didnt get more boos, sure he got more than Kyle, but sometimes it seems everyone hates 5 time

The first thing that popped into my head when Almirola said his intro was "that's what she said." That sounded really wrong...

I heard boos for Logano, about on track with how many Kyle Busch got. I'm trying to think of anything he may have done to piss people off...I am blanking.

I heard a few boos for Kurt Busch, but less than I would think would come up. How things have changed...

As for your question, I would give full belly cheers to Jimmie, Almirola, the Busch Bros, Karvick, and some others; boos to Montoya, Hamlin, Edwards, and Reutimann, and cheers to others.

I'm a bit surprised Kyle didn't get more boos than he did as well. I would've wasted every bit of energy I had booing at him.

Which serves what purpose other than making you tired and a hypocrite? Maybe it's because you're too young to remember how Jeff Gordon and his fans were treated several years ago.

Radioactive is one of my favorite songs right now.
I really love the song, but its a bit overplayed and doesnt work incredibly well for driver intros. If I were doing driver intros, I would always choose a fast upbeat rock song, or maybe even hip hop.

Before Rick brought Dale Jr into the HMS family, fans where merciless toward Gordon, especially at the South East tracks.. Probably the smartest move he's made

Delana again wearing the pants in the family selects Kevins' music.

I also am not one to boo, but if others do thats their choice.

i'm more of a polite clapper for all, however I enjoy the more vociferous reaction of the inebriated or younger fans, be it boos or cheers. funny how most of those drunk at driver intros never see the checkered flag!

Hypocrite? Have I ever said booing drivers is bad?

I've seen videos where people in the grandstands have thrown cans at Jeff after he won. Not sure how you're trying to turn that into why I shouldn't boo a driver I don't like.
